Belmont Park: Good Night Olive Returns, Bed O’ Roses Analysis

Goodnight Olive was narrowly denied her 8th win in a row at Churchill Downs. Saturday at Belmont Park she looks to kick off another streak with a Bed O’ Roses victory.

• #3 BEER RUN (5-2) should improve off the first start and gets the top selection. He goes out for the Ward barn and gets Velazquez in the irons. This one has races good enough to beat this group.
• #7 BIG ELM (12-1) is a price horse and isn't without hope. He seems to fit well enough here. This one will be rolling late and has a good closing kick that could get the job done here.
• #4 FAST BOAT TO SKYE (9-2) is a player here. He looks to be the class of the field based on some of the recent company.
• #5 MISCHIEVOUS ANGEL (7-2) debuts here at a reasonably short price which suggests the back side has intel on this runner. He has to be respected going out for the combination of Brown and Ortiz.

• #7 PHOTON (3-1) is the top pick. She has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here.
• #2 STARTS NOW (3-1) isn't without hope. She comes into the race in really good form.
• #3 BERNING HONOR (6-1) could provide really good value in this race. She makes sense on speed figures. This one will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late.
• #5 BOMB SQUAD (5-2) is certainly one to consider though the price is a bit short. She has races that could get the job done in this spot. This one should be sitting in the second tier of runners and looking to make one well timed run at the leaders.
