The biggest day of the year at Penn National takes place on Friday night. The track will run both the Penn Mile and Penn Oaks on a loaded card.

Penn National- Race 1
Post: 5:00 PM ET; $10k Claiming going 1 mile 70 yards on dirt; Entries: 6
- #2 LAVERY (9-5) gets the top selection. He has races good enough to beat this group. This one projects to sit mid pack and come with one run.
- #4 C C'S WARRIOR (5-2) appears to be a major player in this race. He could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end. This one has the top overall power rating in the group.
- #3 MINE TO HOLD (2-1) isn't without hope. He makes sense on speed figures. This one has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
- #1 MR. SKITTLES (30-1) is a price horse and is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. He is a good bet to hit the board in this type of race.

- #3 HEARTYCONSTITUTION (8-5) goes out for the Joe Sharp barn. Ortiz ships in for the mount which is a plus.
- #9 ONE MORE KELLY (10-1) is a price horse and seems to be running for the minor placings in this contest. She has to be respected going out for the combination of Kulp and Rodriguez.
- #6 IN A SPIN (8-1) has kept some pretty good company in recent starts. Maybe that can be enough to keep this one in the mix.

- #8 BUY LAND AND SEE (5-2) gets the top selection. He could get the right setup in this race. This one has the top overall power rating in the group.
- #2 MIDNIGHT HAULER (5-1) could be in with a shot in this race. He seems to fit well enough here. This one may benefit from a hot pace up front.
- #12 YOU MUST CHILL (6-1) projects to sit mid pack and come with one run.
- #9 NICE ACE (8-1) looks like he’s in with a chance for the combination of Girten and Morales.

- #5 WONDER WATER (2-1) has a grinding style that should play well in this field.
- #3 SKIMBLE SHANKS (7-2) has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Beattie and Salgado.
