Dodgers vs Braves Predictions & MLB Picks Today (9/13)
It’s been four months since the Dodgers and Braves collided for a three-game series in Los Angeles. The Dodgers hardly broke a sweat as the hosts, sweeping the Braves in at home while outscoring them 20-6 on aggregate. The victory improved LA’s record over Atlanta to 4-1 SU across the last five meetings.
The Dodgers look to keep that trend going following Wednesday’s explosive 10-8 win over the Chicago Cubs. Four different LA batters tallied a home run in the victory, including center fielder Tommy Edman, who led the charge with a pair of round-trippers and four RBIs in five at-bats. The Dodgers now return to the road where they’re 9-5 SU in their last 14 away tilts.
As for the Braves, consistency has been recently hard to come by. They’re only 5-6 SU across its last 11 outings and just fell 5-1 to the lowly Washington Nationals two nights ago. That’s without mentioning how Atlanta only has a 51.9% winning percentage when having the same amount of rest as its opponent, whereas Los Angeles owns a 59.3% success rate in that regard.
Can the Braves get back on track following Wednesday’s disappointing loss?
The Dodgers are turning back to rookie RHP Landon Knack for the second time since he was promoted earlier this month. The former 2020 second-rounder pitched well in a loss against the Cleveland Guardians on Sept. 6, striking out eight batters while only allowing two runs on three hits across six innings.
Knack will be going one-on-one against Braves RHP Spencer Schwellenbach tonight. While the fellow first-year hurler has been playing solidly, too, his recent performances have left much to be desired.
In his last two games, Schwellenbach has surrendered eight runs and two homers on 15 hits in just 10 2/3 innings, allowing a .333/.348/.578 slash line along the way. Additionally, the 24-year-old Saginaw, MI native has only produced one victory in his last four home starts.
After sweeping the Braves earlier this season, I’m taking the Dodgers to win on the road. They clearly have the home team’s number and I don’t expect that to change given Schwellenbach’s recent performances. It could be a close contest if Atlanta plays up to its potential, however, I wouldn’t hold my breath.
As far as the best bet goes, I’ll keep things simple by taking the Dodgers on the moneyline.

Best Dodgers vs Braves MLB Player Prop (9/13)
If you’re seeking a Dodgers vs. Braves player prop, look no further than a Shohei Ohtani anytime home run (+225).
Ohtani heads into tonight’s showdown with an NL-leading 47 home runs through 143 games. The two-time MVP has eight round-trippers in his last 18 outings, which includes when he hit his career-high 47th HR against the Cubs on Wednesday.
There’s a good chance that Ohtani will keep that trend going this evening. Not only does the 30-year-old phenom have four homers in his last eight meetings with the Braves, but three of those came in the last two matchups this season.
In other words, it’s a no-brainer to back this prop as Ohtani continues to chase the 50/50 mark.
Best Dodgers vs. Braves Prop Bet: Shohei Ohtani Anytime Home Run (+225)
