Opening Day at Yankee Stadium brings a marquee matchup between the Milwaukee Brewers and New York Yankees, setting the stage for an electric start to the season. With Carlos Rodón on the mound for New York and a dangerous Brewers lineup ready to attack, all eyes will be on how the Yankees’ left-hander handles the challenge. One key player to watch is William Contreras, who finds himself in a prime spot to capitalize against Rodón’s inconsistencies.

Brewers vs Yankees Best Bet
Forget the side and the total—we care about one thing and one thing only: William Contreras to go over 1.5 hits, runs, and RBI (HRR). He faces Yankees starter Carlos Rodón, who allows a fair amount of hard contact and rarely delivers consistent performances.
In 2024, Rodón posted a 3.96 ERA along with a 1.22 WHIP. He has been more effective at home than on the road but still recorded an ERA above three. However, as mentioned before, Rodón either shoves for five innings or gets lit up early. Regardless, the price for this prop and the trends make it well worth the squeeze.
The Brewers catcher’s trends are outstanding. In 55 elite-rated games, he records at least one hit 69.09% of the time, tallies two or more hits 30.91% of the time, and scores a run nearly 55% of the time. He surpasses 2+ HRR in 54.55% of those games. On top of that, he also holds a career .327 batting average and a .973 OPS against left-handed pitchers.
Contreras will have plenty of opportunities for success on Thursday. RotoChamp projects him in the third spot in the lineup, and if the Brewers can get after Rodón, he could see up to five plate appearances.
Best Bet: William Contreras Over 1.5 Hits, Runs & RBI (-105)
