Straying from the first five plays today and focusing on a player prop for Game 6 of the NLCS: Mr. Max Muncy. We haven’t gone to him this season, but today he’s offering tremendous value.
Muncy comes in with an elite rating on Batters-Box.com. The Dodgers’ third baseman has been on fire this postseason, hitting .258 with a 1.033 OPS, and recording a hit in six of his ten postseason games (two hits in two of them). After going hitless on Friday, I love backing him for a big offensive day.
On the mound for the Mets is Sean Manaea. In eight at-bats against him, Muncy has two hits — both homers. Manaea’s sinker, his best pitch, is rated at 18.3 and he throws it 45% of the time. Against sinkers this season, Muncy is hitting .265 with an .817 OPS and a wRC+ of 146.
