Breakdown
Austin Gomber is on the mound for the Rockies today and I feel like that could be enough of a reason to bet this.
Soler has crushed lefties this year, and Austin Gomber has been one of the easier matchups for most hitters this season. Gomber has a 5.61 ERA on the road, and 19 total home runs allowed.
He’s also given up 5+ hits in 10 straight starts and he’s given up 6+ in 7 of his L8. He’s been horrendous and Soler is here to take advantage.
Soler’s hitting 0.272 with a 0.489 SLG. He’s having a bit of a down year this year but against lefties is when we’ve seen Soler thrive. He’s hit 3 home runs so far this month and he’s batting 0.351 against the Rockies this year and 0.333 against Gomber in his career.

Brent Rooker has been one of the only bright spots for the Athletics this season. Not only is it looking like their last year in Oakland, but they’re last in their division with no real hope of doing better next year.
