FAMILY, Happy Martin Luther King Day. Today celebrates the great Dr. King and his fight during the Civil Rights Movement all those years ago. It’s the only National Holiday designated as a day of service and in that spirit the NBA hosts a full slate of games, starting bright and early.
We’ve got 8 games to enjoy on today’s NBA slate, with games tipping off at noon on the east coast and finishing around 10pm on the west coast. With so much action, let’s jump right into today’s special slate.
Here are our favorite props in the NBA tonight.
-
- Keyonte George o3.5 3s (+105)
- Zack Lavine o35.5 PRA (-109)
Keyonte George o3.5 3s (+105)
This might not be how you expected to get your day started, but here we are and let me talk to you about Keyonte George. George is in his sophomore season and he’s become a regular starter for this Utah Jazz squad. He’s played in 30 of the Jazz’s 40 games and is the team’s starting PG; leading the team in assists per game (5.6).
This season, George is playing 31.3 minutes per game, averaging 16.3 PPG and 5.6 APG; his shooting splits could be better but the Jazz are very happy with this kid’s development. The thing about Geroge is his usage is very dependant on the game, the moment or who’s in the rotation.
The Jazz currently run a 3-man rotation at the guard rotation, consisting of George, Jordan Clarkson and Colin Sexton; add to that the usage of Lauri Markkanen and you see why he doesn’t get the volume. Despite that, George still averages 7.9 3-point attempts per game and he’s shooting 36% from beyond the arc.
This season, in games without both Clarkson and Lauri, George is averaging 10.5 3-point attempts and he’s shooting 41% in these 6 games. George has cleared this line in 5 of the 6 games and the Pelicans represent 1 of the worst perimeter defenses in the league.
New Orleans rank 24th in 3s allowed overall, 30th in 3s allowed to opposing PGs and 28th in opponent field goal percentage. Tonight the Jazz will down 3 starters, 4 of their 6 main rotational players on the sideline and against a Pelicans team they just faced on friday.
George had 4 3s in that game on just 9 attempts, the last time he played without Colin Sexton he was 5/13 from beyond the arc. Look for George to chuck the rock tonight.
Bonus: Keyonte George 6+ 3s (+230)

Zack Lavine o35.5 PRA (-109)
Lavine came through for us last night and there’s no reason to not go back. Lavine played his college basketball down at UCLA and he’s spent his fair share of time down in Los Angeles. He’s also looking for a new home and there happens to be a team in Los Angeles looking for a scoring 2-way guard.
Zack’s playing 35.6 minutes per game this month and leads the Bulls in usage. Tonight in a city he’s previously played so well, I love him once again. Since arriving in Chicago, Lavine has averaged 28.3 PPG, 5.8 RPG and 5.1 APG IN Los Angeles (vs. the Clippers or Lakers).
Zack’s averaging 25.6 PPG against the Western Conference this year in addition to 6.8 RPG and 4.1 APG. He’s been fantastic on the road too, averaging 24.1 on shooting splits of 53/46/79. He’s averaging 27.4 PPG in his L10 games and he’s dishing out 5.6 APG and grabbing 5.5 RPG.
The Bulls have the Lakers next, but after taking a loss last night to the Blazers I’m expecting a much better game from the Bulls as a whole. Look for Lavine to lead the charge back in the city he went to college.
The Clippers are also coming into this one on the heels of a back to back and now look to get the job done with Kawhi Leonard once again on the sidelines. This will be Lavine’s first visit to the Intuit Dome and first game in Los Angeles since March of 2023. I’m expecting him to come out firing.
Bonus: Zack Lavine 30+ (+200)
