Happy Friday. We’re not used to slates this small on Friday nights but we’ll have to make the most of it. The night tips off on the East Coast, we’ve got Lamelo & the Hornets traveling to the City of Brotherly Love to take on Maxey and the 76ers. Joel remains a game time decision
Here are our favorite props for tonight’s NBA Slate.
-
- Lebron James o22.5 Points (-104)
- Kevin Durant o4.5 Assists (+105)
- Nikola Jokic T/Double (+160)
Lebron James o22.5 Points (-104)
It’s Lebron James, thats the breakdown.
Lebron’s struggled this year but in a similar fashion to last season, he’s finally starting to turn it on. James’ has scored 23 or more points in 3 of his L5 games, averaging 24.6 PPG on 47% from the field. The Lakers are 4-6 in their L10 games and 14-12 on the year.
Los Angeles needs every win they can get and with another division rival on the schedule, look for Lebron to show out. In his L5 games against the Kings, Lebron’s averaging 27.2 PPG, clearing this line in 4 of the 5 games. Since joining the Lakers, he’s cleared this line in 14 of his 17 games, scoring 30+ in 8 of these games.
James has averaged 20.8 shot attempts per game over his L5 games and he’s shooting 47% from the field. Last year, in the month of December, James averaged 26.3 PPG on 56.6% from the field. He turned up at this exact time of the year and the Lakers will need a similar performance of Lebron to get the win today. .
Lebron James o22.5 Points (-104)

Nikola Jokic T/Double (+160)
Nikola Jokic triple double hasn’t been as automatic this year as we’ve become accustomed to but it’s Jokic. The Nuggets have had players in and out of the lineup all season, Jamal Murray’s missed 5 games, Jokic has missed 3 games and Aaron Gordon’s missed the most time; playing in just 13 of the Nuggets 24 games.
The scoring burden has been fully put on Jokic and he delivered, but now with the entire lineup back out there I love this spot for him. Jokic leads the league in passes per game, averaging just under 83 passes made per game this year. He’s averaging nearly 17.1 potential assists and he’s recorded a triple in 6 of the 13 games he’s played with Aaron Gordon this year.
The Blazers rank 24th in assists allowed this year and 22nd in points allowed. Portland’s had a tough time with perimeter shooters this year as well, allowing opposition to shoot 37.6% from beyond the arc. The Nuggets have Jamal Murray, Michael Porter and even Aaron Gordon’s got the ability to stretch the floor.
Jokic thrives when he surrounded by shooters and he’s so much better with a fully healthy starting lineup. .

Kevin Durant o4.5 Assists (+105)
Kevin Durant has a 13-2 record this year. He’s been insanely good and the Suns win games when he’s in the lineup. This year, at age. 36, Durant’s averaging 25.7 PPG, 6.5 RPG and 3.7 APG.
Since returning from injury 2 games ago, Durant has recorded 7 and 8 assists and the Suns are 2-0 since he’s come back. Tonight the Suns play the 25th ranked defense, the Indiana Pacers.
Indiana’s giving up 117.3 PPG this year and rank 26th in opponent shooting percentage (48%). The Pacers rank 6th in pace, resulting in 101 possessions per game and additional possessions for their opposition.
The Suns average 116.1 PPG with Durant in the lineup and he’s done a great job of involving his teammates more since returning to the lineup. Look for KD to continue using his teammates, especially against this porous Pacers defense.
Kevin Durant o3.5 Assists (+105)
