Today’s Bulls vs. Heat NBA Play-In Tournament predictions and best bets are brought to you by BetOnline. BetOnline is a market leader in sports betting, offering various options from the NBA playoffs to the UFC odds and everything in between.
The 2023-24 NBA playoffs are nearly here with only two Play-In Tournament games left to be played on Friday, April 19. The first of the pair will decide the Eastern Conference’s No. 8 seed when the Chicago Bulls (39-43) and Miami Heat (46-36) collide at 7 p.m. ET.

The Bulls advanced to this stage with a 131-116 win over the Atlanta Hawks, which was led by Coby White’s game-high 42 points. Meanwhile, the Heat hope to bounce back following a close-fought 105-104 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Regardless of who wins this game, neither team is viewed as much of a championship threat. Chicago currently holds the worst 2023-24 NBA Finals odds (+25000) on BetOnline while Miami is third-to-last at +10000.
Who will advance? And where are the best betting opportunities? Let’s talk about that by diving into my Bulls vs. Heat NBA predictions and picks today.

Bulls vs Heat Predictions & NBA Picks Today (4/19)
If the Bulls want to advance to the first round as the No. 8 seed, they must replicate Wednesday’s success. Chicago was efficient throughout the night as it shot 56.8% from the floor and 42.3% from the three-point line while outrebounding Atlanta 47-34. Billy Donovan’s team even led by as many as 23 points at one point.
Meanwhile, the Heat likely could’ve beaten the 76ers had they been more efficient, finishing the game with a 42.2 FG% and 35.9 3P%. It didn’t help that Miami also shot 73.7% from the free-throw line whereas Philadelphia had a 91.3% success rate in that regard.
Had the Heat been just a little more accurate, they’d likely already have their NBA postseason ticket punched.
Nevertheless, tonight’s game is a clean slate and it’ll be interesting to see if the Bulls build off their latest performance or if the Heat can get back on track.
The Bulls’ best players — especially Coby White (above) — stepped up against the Hawks.
When it came to the regular season, Chicago and Miami each won two of the four meetings against each other. The first three games were each decided by two or more possessions, however, the regular-season finale was the closest one as the Heat notched a 118-116 win at Kaseya Center on Dec. 16.
While the Heat are now 8-6 SU in their last 14 home games against the Bulls, it isn’t all positive. After all, it was Chicago that covered the spread in 10 of those contests.
The Heat also have a major obstacle to overcome tonight in the form of Jimmy Butler’s absence. In addition to Butler being ruled out with an MCL sprain, Terry Rozier also won’t be playing due to a neck injury.
The Bulls lineup is also banged up as Alex Caruso (ankle), Andre Drummond (ankle), and Ayo Dosunmu (quad) are all questionable to play.
Can the Heat win tonight without Jimmy Butler (MCL) in the lineup?
Although the Heat are the home team, I won’t be surprised if the Bulls pull off the upset. Miami didn’t shoot the ball well at all against Philly, whereas Chicago is likely feeling confident after blowing out lowly Atlanta. Considering how the Bulls have already won at Kaseya Center this season, don’t be shocked if the underdogs take this one.
With that in mind, the Over on the 206-point total is my betting pick. Both sides have been involved in recent high-scoring affairs as the Over is 5-0 in the Bulls’ last five games and 10-1 in the Heat’s 11 previous outings.
The last three Chicago-Miami tilts also averaged a combined 230.7 points with each outing surpassing tonight’s projected total. Even with Butler sidelined, it’s clear that the Over is the way to go.

Best Bulls vs Heat NBA Prop Bet (4/19)
After his impressive performance two nights ago, I’m taking Coby White to record over 20.5 points (-126) for the best Bulls vs. Heat player prop bet.
White isn’t a stranger to making good on this prop, having finished with 21-plus points 32 times this season. He’s averaged 26.0 PPG on 56.5% shooting in his last five games alone while finishing with the Over three teams. In fact, he’s even hit the Over in each of his last two games against Miami with both instances taking place at Kaseya Center.
With the Bulls likely leaning on him for an encore performance, look for White to step up and finish with another impressive offensive showing.
