The Tuesday NBA schedule is more about quality than quantity, but with this being the final week of the regular season, tonight’s 14-game slate is heavy on both. Beyond tonight’s two TNT games, one of the most notable matchups on the schedule sees the Phoenix Suns (46-32) host the Los Angeles Clippers (50-28).
The Clippers are not yet a lock for the fourth seed in the Western Conference, but with the Oklahoma City Thunder three games ahead in third and the Dallas Mavericks two games behind in fifth with only four games remaining, fourth is their likely final position.
Things are much more in flux for the Suns. Entering tonight’s action, Phoenix is sixth and in the final guaranteed playoff spot. But the New Orleans Pelicans (46-32), Sacramento Kings (45-33), and even the Los Angeles Lakers (45-34) could bump them into the play-in tournament.
So, tonight’s game at the Footprint Center is a big one for the home team, whose three-game win streak ended on Sunday with a home loss to the Pelicans.
Big games call for big performances, so who will step up for the Suns tonight? And with Kawhi Leonard and potentially James Harden out tonight, who will deliver in the desert for the Clippers? Read on to find out which player prop bets you should eye for this matchup.

Los Angeles Clippers vs Phoenix Suns Betting Analysis and Prediction
Tonight will be the 17th time this season that the Clippers close as an underdog. In the first 16 games, they are 5-11 SU and 6-10 ATS. However, they did come out on top in the most recent instance. Five days ago, they defeated the Denver Nuggets 102-100 as a 3.5-point underdog at home.
Leonard (knee) is already confirmed as out for tonight’s game in Phoenix, while Harden (undisclosed) did not participate in this morning’s shootaround. That doesn’t mean that he won’t play, but it doesn’t seem likely that he will.
With games to come tomorrow (at home versus the Suns), Friday (at home versus the Utah Jazz), and Sunday (at home versus the Houston Rockets) to close out the regular season, the Clippers are in a strong position to lock up fourth even if they lose tonight. So, there isn’t quite a need to have Harden out there tonight.
If the Clippers are without both Harden and Leonard, it makes it all the more likely that the Suns will pick up a big win for their sixth seed hopes.
They fell flat in a 113-105 loss to the Pelicans on Sunday, but at 10-2 SU and 9-3 ATS in their last dozen games following a loss, you have to like the home team here, especially against a shorthanded squad.
Clippers vs Suns Prediction: Suns to win and cover
Best Player Props for Los Angeles Clippers vs Phoenix Suns
Paul George (Clippers) Over 25.5 Points (-118 at BetOnline) & 4+ Made Threes (+175 at Bovada)
In his previous games against the Suns this season, George had 33 points (8 of 14 FG, 5 of 10 3PT, 12 of 14 FT) and seven rebounds in a win in Phoenix on January 3 and 25 points (10 of 19 FG, 4 of 9 3PT, 1 of 2 FT) in a home win over the Suns five days later.
George will likely have a lot of shot attempts tonight, and a healthy amount of them should be from outside. If he shoots at a decent clip (47.0% FG and 41.0% 3PT for the season), both of these will hit.
Devon Booker Over 6.5 Assists (-143 at BetOnline)
Since the All-Star break, Booker has had seven or more assists in 12 of 19 games, and he has dished out seven or more dimes in his first four April games.
