The Orlando Magic are on the hunt for a third win in a row when they meet the Cleveland Cavaliers for Game 5 of their first-round playoff series on Tuesday, April 30.
Start time for Game 5 of the @OrlandoMagic First Round series on Tuesday, April 30 at Cleveland will be 8 P.M. ET.

The series is now tied 2-2 after the Magic picked up a massive 112-89 victory over the Cavaliers on Saturday. Cleveland had no response for Orlando’s Franz Wagner, who dropped a game-high 34 points and 13 rebounds to get his team back in the mix.
Will Orlando’s momentum lead to another win tonight? Or will Cleveland get back on track in its return home?
Let’s discuss those questions and tonight’s best NBA bets by diving into my Magic vs. Cavaliers Game 5 predictions and picks.

Magic vs Cavaliers Game 5 Predictions & NBA Picks Today (4/30)
It seemed like the Cavaliers had this series in the bag after winning Games 1 and 2. Instead, they return to Cleveland with a 2-2 series tied after the Magic dominantly won back-to-back games in Orlando.
Try as they might, the Cavaliers couldn’t generate any offense in the last two games. Not only did they only average 86.0 points on .429/.235/.824 shoot splits in Orlando, but they’ve now failed to hit the 100-point mark every single game in this series.
Meanwhile, the Magic didn’t have any issues scoring with the home-court advantage on their side. They averaged 116.5 PPG with a plus-30.5 average scoring margin, shooting 53.3% from the floor and 39.7% from deep. Orlando also had five players who averaged 11 or more points in those games, led by Franz Wagner’s 25.0 PPG with .655/.375/.900 splits.
Additionally, the Magic dominated the Cavaliers on the board, outrebounding them 94-61 in Games 3 and 4.
Will the Magic’s best players continue to step up now that the series is back in Cleveland?
But even though the Magic have momentum on their side, not everything is perfect. Orlando hasn’t won a road game since April 3, losing six in a row since then by an average of 12.5 points. Jamahl Mosley’s team also failed to cover the spread in each of those contests.
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers can take solace in knowing they’ve won six of their last seven home games. If that isn’t impressive enough, they’re also an impressive 7-1 SU in their last eight home matchups against the Magic.
Having said that, the Magic own an NBA-best 34-13 ATS record (72.3%) when they have the same amount of rest as the opposition. For comparison, the Cavaliers are 19-26-1 ATS (42.2%, 26th) in that regard.
Orlando also boasts an injury-free lineup tonight, whereas Cleveland will remain without Craig Porter (ankle), Dean Wade (knee), and Ty Jerome (ankle).
Do the Cavaliers have what it takes to swing momentum back in their favor?
Even though the Cavs are undefeated at home in the 2023-24 playoffs, I’m taking the Magic to win. Orlando just destroyed Cleveland in back-to-back outings, fully putting the momentum on its side. If the Magic can keep up their defensive success, they won’t have an issue pulling off an upset at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.
As for the best bet, let’s back the Under on the 202-point total. It’s been a low-scoring series with three of the first four matchups finishing with 201 or fewer points. Hell, these teams couldn’t even combine for 200 points in the first two games played in Cleveland. Unless both sides forget how to defend, it’ll be another fireworks-less tilt.

Best Magic vs Cavaliers NBA Game 5 Prop Bet (4/30)
Props are currently unavailable on BetOnline, so we’re going to Bovada to take the Over on Franz Wagner’s 6.5-rebound total (-110).
After tallying 13 rebounds in Game 4, Wagner is now averaging 8.0 rebounds to begin this first-round series. He finished with the Over in three of those contests, which includes registering exactly seven rebounds in each of the Magic’s first two road games. That’s without mentioning how the Cavs also surrender the fifth-most rebounds to small forwards.
Considering how brutal the Cavaliers have been in the rebounding department, Wagner won’t struggle to hit the Over again.
Best Magic vs Cavaliers Game 5 Prop Bet: Franz Wagner o6.5 Rebounds (-110)
