Z. Williamson o3.5 Assists (-130) via Bovada
Zion Williamson plays basketball today. Be excited.
Last year, in just 29 games, Zion saw a team leading 31.9% usage rate. The Pelicans love running the offense through Zion and it showed in the small sample size.
Last year Zion averaged 9.2 potential assists/game, just one fewer than both CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram. He also averaged 40 passes/game which is the same as Ingram.
He does a lot to facilitate this Pelicans offense, and his ability to drive the net and kick it out shooters only helps our case.
Last season the Grizzlies allowed the 4th most assists/game to opposing teams, and ranked 26th in opponent 3-point field goal percentage.
With the total sitting at 225, Zion should find plenty of opportunities to cash us out tonight.

B. Simmons o6.5 Assists (-120) via Bovada
Simmons’ is back in the starting lineup and by the sounds of it, Coach Vaughn and the Nets want to make Simmons an integral part of this offense.
Ben averaged 6.1 APG last season playing just 26 min/game, and he averages 7.5 APG in his career.
The Cavaliers will be without big man Jarrett Allen today, which should provide easier opportunities for the Nets at the rim.
This play is more of a gut call than anything. Simmon’s last couple years in the league have been less than stellar, but I’m confident he can return to form and be an important piece for this Nets team moving forward.

J. Sochan 4+ Assists (-115) via Bovada
Point Sochan has arrived, and I’m ready to roll the dice here.
Sochan averaged 11 PPG, 5 RPG, and 2.5 APG in his rookie season, playing just 26 minutes/game. He averaged 3.1 APG in games he saw 30+ minutes, and now he’ll be running the point.
Add into the fold the Spurs just drafted a 7’5 monster, Sochan should have plenty opportunity to get the job done.
Lots of question marks with new rotations, and players roles on these teams. But with the lines listed on the lower side, I feel comfortable taking the risk.
