The Indiana Pacers are 8-2 in their last ten. They’ve been playing their best basketball for weeks. Rick Carlisle and his squad have found themselves in 4th place with home court in the East. Moreover, Haliburton has re-emerged as a premier talent and Pascal is a former Champion. The blue and yellow are reminding people how they made the Eastern Conference Finals as a 6th seed last year.
On the other hand, OKC is equally hot as the visitors as they’ve won 8 straight games and 9 of 10. So, two hot teams should mean great basketball.
The Thunder are just waiting for the playoffs to begin. The professional team from the Sooner State are dealing with Hoosiers whom they rarely see. Unfamiliarity can mean chaos. Unfortunately, for the Pacers, the Thunder love chaos. Additionally, they are nearly unbeatable on their home floor with a 31-5 record. Consequently, they’ll have home court through to the NBA Finals should they make it that far.

NBA Game Analysis
The Pacers have been fantastic as of late. That is just not up for debate. They’re firing on all cylinders. The Wizards were victimized in DC by this team. Washington lost on their home floor 162-109 on Thursday. The Pacers stopped shooting with over a minute left. This team is deep with a very good starting lineup and their run last year was not a fluke. Therefore, Indiana’s path to victory is there. This team adjusts and finds ways to stay in close games with good teams. Hence, The Indiana Pacers are 10-4 against the spread (ATS) in their last 14 games vs. top 10 scoring defences.

It must also be noted that the under hit in 4 of the Indiana Pacers last 5 games vs. top 10 said scoring defences. Meaning, they cover by turning the game into a slog. Rick Carlisle is a good coach and his squad adjusts when they have to. Finally, the Pacers have won 5 straight against the aforementioned top 10 scoring defences. Can the Hoosiers pull out a cinematic miracle on a Saturday?
Conversely, the Pacers aren’t the same team outside of their own arena. They are 18-19 on the road this NBA season and the Thunder have just 5 losses at home. They also have no glaring disadvantages when comparing their defence to the Pacer’s offence. Like nearly every game this season, The Thunder are the favourite, and that’s just because this team is insanely deep and has the MVP frontrunner.
The Thunder can be beat. They’re just 22nd in second chance points allowed. 17th in offensive rebound % allowed. Teams like Minnesota have the blueprint to beat OKC. The Pacers do not. The Pacers are 29th in offensive rebound % and 30th in 2nd chance points. In conclusion, this is not a good matchup for Indiana.
