The Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament is back again in Charlotte this week. Last season, we had quite the excitement as 10 seeded North Carolina State made a run to win the whole thing and clinch their bid for March Madness. Will we see another bid stealer this year in the ACC Tournament? Or will a lopsided conference look even worse on the big stage?
ACC Tournament Bracket

The ACC Tournament kicks off in Charlotte, NC.
Despite the ACC hosting 18 teams this year, only the Top 15 made the tournament. Thanks to Miami, Boston College and NC State for playing, but we didn’t have space for you this year. The end of the regular season was very exciting and we saw tons of movement in the seedings, but can anyone take down the Top Dawg Dukies?

ACC Championship Odds
- Duke -350
- Louisville +500
- Clemson +600
- North Carolina +2800
- SMU +5000
- Wake Forest +7500
- Literally every other team 200-1
It’s Duke’s tournament to lose, plain and simple. They could be a one seed even if they lost their quarterfinal matchup, but it’s tough to imagine anyone besides Cooper Flagg cutting down the nets after the tournament is over.

ACC Tournament Best Bets

Can Chucky Hepburn and Louisville win the ACC Championship?
There are none.
I’m not kidding. Duke is -350 to win the tournament for good reason. They are so clearly the best team in the this tournament. I will admit, the motivational factor worries me a tad, but Duke won’t face anyone who can challenge them until the championship anyways. The Blue Devils have lost three games all year by a combined 14 points.
Just looking at their path, Duke already rolled both Virginia and Georgia Tech, winning both games by at least 18+. They beat Wake Forest twice, by 7 on the road and then by 33 at home. Even if they face North Carolina for a 3rd time, its clear that the Tar Heels are no match for Duke.
As for the bottom half of the bracket, the only two teams with a shot to beat Duke are Clemson and Louisville. The Tigers already did so at home, so the likelihood of them doing it again on a neutral site is pretty slim if you ask me. As for the Cardinals, they lost by 11 at home to Duke. That was back in December, and the Cardinals have grown plenty since then, but I still don’t have the urge to back them at 5 to 1 odds, especially considering they already beat Clemson.
I think we see a 3rd matchup between Duke and North Carolina in the semis, with Clemson taking down Louisville in the other contest. However I do not see the Tigers successfully taking down the Blue Devils again.
