Arizona enters this matchup off a near-perfect performance, but that level of play is unsustainable. Oregon’s defense has been elite away from home, and Arizona’s lack of turnovers and three-point shooting creates an opening. I am backing the Ducks to start fast and make the race to 20 a battle.

#5 Oregon vs #4 Arizona Best Bet
Arizona is coming off a perfect game against Akron in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Scoring 93 points in their 28-point victory, they shot 56.5% from the floor and 48% from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, Oregon posted similar numbers against Liberty in their 81-52 win.
Fade Arizona!
I wanted to have some fun with this matchup and root for an explosive start from the underdog, so I took Oregon to win the race to 20. Why? I have zero respect for Arizona. I believe they are one of the most inconsistent teams in the country. The Wildcats are coming off essentially a perfect game, and I want to fade that in a fun way.
Since February 1, Oregon has maintained a top-15 defense away from home. Hopefully, their defense can get some stops early, allowing the offense to jump out to a short lead. Another reason to back Oregon—Arizona is not going to force turnovers. Since February 1, they rank 333rd in turnover defense. The Wildcats also do not shoot many threes, ranking 288th in three-point rate, making it unlikely they burn Oregon from deep. Meanwhile, the Ducks are 37th in three-point defense.
With both a top-40 offense and a defense that has been top-20 for nearly two months, Oregon can at least make the race to 20 entertaining. At plus money, this is worth the sprinkle.
