There is ton’s of College Hoops all day long, so we are back for some more NCAA Basketball action! As always, we will be diving into the College Hoops slate to find our best bets for today! We’ve got a decent sized slate, however it is a very long season, so we will continue to pick our spots carefully.

NCAA Basketball Best Bets – December 4th, 2024
Can the Jayhawks contain the Blue Jays on the road?
#1 Kansas vs Creighton Predictions
Best Bets: Kansas/Creighton Over 152 (-110) BetOnline
We are backing some points in this matchup in Omaha. For starters, Kansas and Creighton are both in the Top 100 in possessions per game, meaning they love to run. Both teams produce about 70 trips up and down the floor per contest, and tonight I think we a similar style of play.
Creighton loves the three. They live and die by it every year. They rank 8th in 3P Rate, but are shooting just 31.4% over the course of the season. After losing three straight games away from Omaha, Creighton was able to secure a victory against Notre Dame without Ryan Kalkbrenner. The big guy’s status is up in the air as he’s a game-time decision tonight. With or without Kalkbrenner, Creighton will be more influenced to let it fly from deep.
The Jayhawks rank 279th in 3P Rate defense, meaning they give up a ton. However offensively, they are 4th in efficiency, 17th in eFG%, and both teams are Top 20 in assist rate. Personally, I see this game going up and down, giving two very good offenses plenty of opportunities to clear this number for us.
#15 Baylor vs #25 UConn Predictions

Best Bets: Baylor/UConn Under 145 (-110) BetOnline
We are backing defense and ultimately the snail’s pace this game should be played at.
The Baylors Bears rank 284th in possessions per game, whereas UConn is even slower at 298. Both teams value the ball on offense, run their full sets, and get the best look possible each time down the floor. The Huskies are a team that shoots 3s plenty, and does so at a 36% clip, however without Alex Karaban tonight, that could decline. He is the team’s leading scorer, 2nd in assists, and shoots nearly 47% from beyond the arc. UConn will certainly miss his presence on the floor this evening.
Overall, we have two very slow teams who also rank Top 73 in adjusted defensive efficiency. With UConn coming off a terrible tournament, and now losing one of their leaders on the floor, Dan Hurley should be even slower and more conservative face a Baylor team whose weapons are finally gelling with each other. Baylor doesn’t get to the free throw line, and doesn’t really send their foes there either.
Give me the under in a hard nosed battle in Storrs tonight.

Pittsburgh vs Mississippi State Predictions
Get ready to sweat and back the under in Starkville tonight
Best Bets: Pittsburgh/Mississippi State Under 150 (-110) Bovada
Mississippi State ranks 96th in pace this year, and Pittsburgh is also in the Top 150. This under is going to be sweaty, but let me tell you why defense will control this game.
Despite the Bulldogs tendency to run, tonight they should know they are outmatched offensively. While they are 21st in Adjusted Offensive efficiency, they are just 132nd in eFG%. Plus they are coming off a very bad game. They allowed nearly 90 points to a Butler team on a neutral site. Back at home, against a Top 16 team, they should focus heavily on defense tonight.
Pittsburgh is a very efficient offense, but their defense is also Top 40. They crash the glass, limiting offensive rebounds to their opponents, plus they do a great job of defending the perimeter. Neither team gets to the line at an extreme rate, and with the Bulldogs knowing they need to bring the clamps tonight, I see them slowing things down, and winning this on the defensive end.
