NCAA Basketball Best Bets – March 16th, 2025
Tennessee vs Florida: SEC Championship

Alex Condon and Florida look to win the SEC Championship today
Heavy Lean: Florida -5 (-112) BetOnline
I am not betting this, as we are sweating out Florida to Win the SEC at (+300), but I do like the Gators to get it done today. If I had to choose one team to win it all this year, it would be Florida, as I believe they are the most complete team.
Now, they split the season series with Tennessee in drastic fashion. The Gators took down the Vols by 30 at home, beating them 73-43. However, in Knoxville, the Vols had the last laugh, winning 64-44, holding Florida to a season low by a large margin. In this championship game, I trust Florida more offensively, and I think they have the defense to hang as well.
While Tennessee is the 3rd best defense in the nation and a Top 20 offense, they rank 84th in eFG%, don’t shoot it well from deep, and rely heavily on offensive rebounds. Florida is 5th offensively and 13th defensively in the country. They are better at snagging offensive boards, and don’t allow very many from their opponents.
The Gators have the stronger offense, and I think it will show in this matchup tonight as they look to push the pace and turn this into a shootout.
Wisconsin vs Michigan: Big Ten Championship

John Tonje leads the Badgers in scoring this season
Best Bets: Wisconsin -3.5 (-115) BetOnline
I am kicking myself for not placing any sort of future on the Badgers in this tournament. However, we cashed them for 2U against UCLA and again against Sparty, so let’s ride with them one more time. Wisconsin is in a revenge spot after losing by 3 at home back in early December to start Big Ten play.
These teams have changed plenty since then, and the Badgers are red hot. They are shooting well, suffocating their opponent, and I think they have what it takes to take down the Wolverines. Wisconsin ranks Top 35 in both offensive and defensive efficiency, Top 55 in eFG% on both sides of the ball, and are Top 20 in turnover rate. Defensively, they don’t give up many offensive rebounds or send their opponent to the free throw line. All of that is a recipe for success. They also shoot plenty of threes and do so north of 35.5%, which will make it tough on these Michigan guards.
The Wolverines turn the ball over a ton (Bottom 30 in the country) and given they barely escaped Maryland last night, the Badgers are playing much better basketball. I’ve loved this Wisconsin team down the stretch, and I’m willing to back them again in this Big Ten Championship.
If you don’t want to lay the points with the Badgers, pair their ML with Florida’s for (+128).
