Bet: Baylor (-2.5) (-112) on BetOnline
No. 16 Arkansas vs. No. 8 Baylor. Two teams meeting in Dallas, coming off very different season openers.
The Bears took a tough 101-63 loss to No. 6 Gonzaga on Monday as 6.5-point underdogs. They were outplayed and outmuscled, shooting just 37% from the floor and a rough 14% from beyond the arc. While turnovers weren’t an issue (they matched Gonzaga in that department), Baylor got dominated on the boards, with Gonzaga out-rebounding them 42 to 31. But this Bears squad is too talented to underperform twice. Scott Drew is a top-tier coach, and I’m confident he’ll have them ready to bounce back.
Meanwhile, Arkansas secured a 16-point win over Lipscomb in their opener. The game was tighter than expected, but the Razorbacks eventually pulled away. It was clearly a look-ahead spot, with Arkansas coasting through, shooting 54% from the floor, 21% from three, and winning both the rebounding and turnover battles.
This matchup should be tight, as both teams are evenly matched. It will be fascinating to see how John Calipari handles this first big test as Razorbacks head coach. But I’m backing the Bears tonight. They’ve got the firepower, and after that blowout loss, I expect them to come out swinging.
Give me the Bears. SICK ’EM!
Delaware State vs Columbia

Bet: Delaware State (+12.5) (-120) on BetOnline
There’s nothing like fading a team fresh off their Super Bowl moment. Columbia shocked Villanova on Wednesday, pulling off a 90-80 upset as 17-point underdogs. The Lions shot an impressive 53% from the floor, 33% from three, and a stellar 92% from the line (24/26). While Villanova isn’t the powerhouse they were under Jay Wright, this was still a massive win for Columbia.
Today, they face the Delaware State Hornets, who are coming off a 23-point loss to Virginia Tech on Monday. The Hornets struggled, shooting just 34% from the floor and 30% from deep, while getting dominated on the boards. Delaware State brings back their star player, Martaz Robinson, who led the team in nearly every statistical category last season, averaging 15.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and two steals per game. Defensively, this is a Hornets squad that ranked 50th nationally in two-point defense last year and returns many familiar faces who know this system well.
With Columbia coming off the game of their lives, the Hornets should be able to keep this one within single digits. Give me Delaware State.
