Not because its a close seeded game or a single possession spread, but because we have two teams that play opposite styles of basketball. <p>The Aggies have been slipping down the stretch. They failed to show up in their SEC Tournament contest against the Oklahoma Sooners, and lost six of their last 10 during the regular season. But let&#8217;s not forget that this team was on top of the conference by themselves at one point in the season. However, Saint Mary&#8217;s is going to be a tough opponent.</p>
<p>The Gaels don&#8217;t play in the most prestigious league, but they still finished second in WCC. Sure, they lost in the conference semifinals to Santa Clara, but this is still a great basketball team. However they are a long way from home, which may mean this could feel more like a home environment for the Aggies.</p>

<h3>Texas A&amp;M vs. Saint Mary&#8217;s Prediction: Texas A&amp;M Wins Outright, Over 147</h3>

<p>I&#8217;ll be on the Aggies catching the points, but I do like them outright and have them moving on in my bracket. Bucky Ball is here to play. They&#8217;ve been off recently, but what better time to come back to life than the Big Dance? They push the pace, ranking top 25 in possessions per game. This team shoots plenty of threes and does so well, ranking in the top 45 in both 3P Rate and 3P%, shooting at a clip of over 36% from beyond the arc. Plus they take great care of the basketball.</p>
<p>While the Gaels are great defensively, I think their strength of schedule (or lack thereof) comes into play. The Gaels rank No. 93 in the country in terms of strength of schedule overall, and were No. 90 in non conference SOS. The Aggies rank inside the top 50. Sure, most of that is because they played in the big, bad SEC, but that matters, people. They are much more battle tested having to play teams like Florida, Arkansas and Alabama. Saint Mary&#8217;s lost to Vanderbilt by 25, they lost to Boise State, and their toughest matchup was against Gonzaga.</p>
<p>Even though they won eight straight to end the regular season, I see this game coming down to the final possession, so catching 3.5 points with the Aggies is a no brainer for me. I also think Texas A&amp;M can control the pace of this game, and they are better equipped to hang around in a shootout.</p>
