The Alabama Crimson Tide have been a force in the college football world for a long time. Last season was no different, as they made their way back to the National Championship game.
Even though they lost that game, their recruiting class was too good to put them any lower than #1 in the preseason AP Poll. They begin as #1 in the poll for the second straight season and ninth time overall.
Their schedule looks pretty tame compared to some seasons they have had. They avoid Georgia on the regular season schedule, play the Iron Bowl against Auburn at home, and only play 3 teams ranked in the preseason Top 25.
2022-23 Alabama Crimson Tide Football Schedule

Different Ways to Get Value Out of Betting Alabama
The expected win total for Alabama this season is well north of 10. They have an easy schedule with plenty of games that they will be able to rest players for. By the time the big games come around, everyone should be healthy and ready to play.
There are multiple ways to look at this style of bet. BetOnline offers futures bets in many different ways. You can bet whether they will win 10+ games, and you can also bet the total win line that currently sit at Over/Under 11.5.
2022-23 NCAA Football Odds to Win 10+ Games
Odds are via BetOnline.
- Alabama -3500
- Ohio State -2000
- Georgia -2000
- Clemson -600
- Cincinnati -135
2022-23 Alabama Crimson Tide Football Total Regular Season Win Line
Odds are via BetOnline.
- Over 11.5: +120
- Under 11.5: -140
Due to the fact that they are heavily favored to win 10+ games on their schedule, there is no point in focusing on that style of bet. However, there is plenty of money to be made in betting the regular season win line. If you think they can go undefeated, and they in fact do, the payout will be nice.
You can also bet Alabama against the rest of the field this season, as there is some value in that as well. There are over 100 other teams trying to chase them down in the odds, so picking Alabama will be risky, but well worth it if it does hit.
2022-23 Alabama Football vs. the Field Odds
Odds are via BetOnline.
- Alabama: +178
- The Field: -210
2022-23 Alabama Football Predictions
The SEC West is well in hand for Alabama. They really don’t have any competition, and their toughest game against Texas A&M is at home. They should be playing for the SEC Title at the end of the season.
I expect at least 11 wins, but probably 12 with the light schedule they have planned out. If they drop a game, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are out of the SEC Title conversation, so it’s safe to put them in the title game.
I expect a rematch of last season’s National Championship between Georgia and Alabama in the SEC Finale. Even though one of those teams will lose, I expect them both to be playing in the College Football Playoff at the end of the season.
I see Alabama as a force this season, and they could be on their way to a second title in three years. They already have 3 titles in the College Football Playoff era. Why not make it a fourth?
