Rivalry Week is here, and we’re kicking it off with a system play. You guessed it—we’re fading yet another storm.
The Auburn Tigers are coming off an emotional rollercoaster of a game against No. 15 Texas A&M that went into quadruple overtime. The game ended on a dropped pass that hit an A&M player square in the chest, sealing the Tigers’ win. Auburn fans stormed the field in celebration, pulling off the upset as slight underdogs.
Meanwhile, the Crimson Tide are 3-2 SU and ATS, fresh off an embarrassing 21-point loss to unranked Oklahoma. With the sting of that defeat still fresh, Alabama needs a statement win in the Iron Bowl—and what better way to do it than by dismantling an Auburn team still high from their SEC upset?
Alabama has shown resilience after losses this season. Following a defeat to Tennessee five games ago, they bounced back to shut out Missouri 34-0 the next week. A similar response here would be massive for the Tide.
To many, the Iron Bowl is the best rivalry in sports. Auburn has dropped four straight in this series, though three of the last five have been one-score games. Alabama hasn’t covered a big spread in this matchup recently, but this year feels different. First-year head coach Kalen DeBoer needs this win—not just to break Auburn’s spirit, but to cement his legacy with Alabama’s alumni in his first Iron Bowl.
Bet: Alabama (-12) on BetOnline
