COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS BACK!
There’s nothing quite like an FBS vs. FCS showdown to kick off the season, and this Saturday, the New Mexico Lobos are set to host the Montana State Bobcats. It’s the perfect follow-up to the early game in Dublin, Ireland, where #10 Florida State takes on Georgia Tech.
While some folks might call the rest of Saturday’s games a snooze-fest, I’m not buying it. There’s always an angle to keep things exciting. Stick with me if you’re hungry for some football fun!

Montana State vs New Mexico Predictions
The Stank:
I love stats and pre-calculated math—it makes me feel sharp and gives me an edge in my gambling routine.
I’ve found a trend worth noting: FCS teams favored by three or more points against FBS teams are 17-9-2 against the spread. Although there hasn’t been a recent FCS vs. FBS game since Holy Cross beat UConn in September 2021, I’m all in on this play.
Last season, the Bobcats boasted one of the most potent offenses in the FCS, with over seven yards per carry and 291 rushing yards per game—ranking them No. 2 in FCS. Despite losing a couple of offensive linemen, their depth should keep their ground game strong.

New Mexico, on the other hand, was one of the worst teams in the Mountain West last season, with a defense ranked 127th out of 133 teams and 108th against the run. Montana State’s dominant run game should be the key to victory.
I grabbed Montana State at (-11.5) a few days ago. With two touchdowns always being a bit of a nail-biter, and the Bobcats’ line still rising, make sure to shop around for the best number.
Here’s hoping the trend is our friend!
