Slight Lean: Vanderbilt +3 (-110) BetOnline
How can you not lean with Vanderbilt in this spot? We’ve got a sweetheart of the SEC who found themselves ranked this season after beating Alabama and taking it to Texas. Diego Pavia is playing, he will be back next year, and despite losing 4 of their L5 down the stretch, I’ve got to think the Commodores come fired up for this game.
Sure, Georgia Tech will give it their all, but I think Vandy is a bit more battle tested and slightly more talented than the Yellow Jackets.
Texas Tech vs Arkansas Best Bets
Best Bets: TT/Arkansas Over 52 (-115) BetOnline
We are going to back the offenses here tonight, but it will certainly be sweaty. Texas Tech is without starting QB Behren Morton, and freshman Will Hammond will start in his place. He saw some snaps this season. Tahj Brooks is listed as the RB1, but I’m not sure how often he will actually be on the field with the NFL Draft looming ahead.
As for Arkansas, they lost all three starting interior linemen to the portal, and former starting RB Ja’Quinden Jackson is likely opting out as well. Texas Tech has gone over in their last 3 games, and are 8-4 to the over this season. They’ve put up 50+ in each of their L2 games, and four separate times this season. Overall they are 3rd in the nation in scoring offense, while ranking in the bottom 25 in points allowed. They score over 37 while allowed 33 this season.
Arkansas is just 6-6 to the over this year, and are middle of the pack in scoring offense and defenses, giving up over 27 points while scoring 26 of their own. This total has been ticking down, mainly due to the missing personnel, but it’s gotten too low for me, and I think both teams are capable of putting up bunches of points tonight.
#21 Syracuse vs Washington State Best Bets
Slight Lean: Syracuse -18 (-110) BetOnline
Look, the line is huge, but let me just spell it out for you. Washington State is missing EVERYONE.
WSU Coaches Not on Sideline in Bowl Game
- Head Coach: Jake Dickert
- OC: Ben Arbuckle
- DC
- QB Coach
- RB Coach
Now what about the players?
Washington State Starters Not Playing
- QB: John Mateer
- RB: Wayshawn Parker
- WR: Kris Hutson
- RT Fa’alili Fa’amoe
- CB: Ethan O’Connor
- CB: Stephen Hall
- LB: Taariq Al-Uqdah
- S: Adrian Wilson
- DT: Ansel Din-Mbuh
- DT: David Gusta
- P: Nick Haberer
Along with all of those STARTERS, Wazzou also has 5 other players in the portal and are not listed on the depth chart.
Head Coach Fran Brown expects all of Syracuse’s team to be available as they “don’t opt out around here”. Orange by a billion, probably.
USC vs Texas A&M Best Bets
Slight Lean: Texas A&M ML (-160) BetOnline
I wouldn’t mess with the -3 if you like the Aggies and instead would suggest just paying some juice on the ML. While the Aggies have much lower number of opt outs compared to the Trojans, they will be missing three of their defensive linemen, all of whom are going to the league. The front 7 was the staple of this A&M defense, however they will be facing USC’s third string ball carrier.
RB Woody Marks and backup Quinten Joyner are both sitting out this game as Marks prepares for the Draft and Joyner finds a new school. Starting QB Miller Moss is also leaving the school as his job was taken by Jayden Maiava, who will lead USC in this bowl game. The Trojans will also miss three of their starting wideouts, who all will play somewhere else next year.
Ultimately it hurts my soul to support the Aggies offense, as their defense is what wins them games. But without the three key members of the D-Line, things could get frisky if they give Maiava plenty of time in the pocket. I have little faith in either offense to be quite honest with you, and also endorse the under on this matchup.
