See Picks & Statistics For The GameThe Miami Dolphins go on the road in Week 2 to face off against the Baltimore Ravens. Both teams are coming off of wins against AFC East opponents, as they each won with relative ease.
The Miami Dolphins upended the entire Patriots offense last weekend, holding Mac Jones and company to 7 points on the day. Tua Tagovailoa looked strong, and Tyreek Hill had an impressive first game with the team.
The Baltimore Ravens went to New York to face off with the Jets to open their season. Their defense also put on a show, holding the Jets to 9 points, and forcing 2 turnovers from the former Raven, Joe Flacco.
The Birds are favored at home by 3.5 points. With Lamar Jackson throwing for 3 touchdowns last week, will we see more of a ground attack against a skilled Dolphins secondary?

Can Tua Continue to Be an Effective Quarterback?
The question at the beginning of the season was “Can Tua prove himself as a franchise QB?” He did a great job in answering that question a week ago when he put up great numbers against a division rival.
Tagovailoa went 23-for-33 against New England with 270 yards through the air. He also added a touchdown to Jaylen Waddle, and the defense was stout, holding the Patriots’ dynamic offense at bay.
Tua has even more weapons this season, and I believe he is on his way to being the answer that the Dolphins have needed. He used his new receiver, Tyreek Hill, the most out of any receiver. Hill had 8 catches for 94 yards, which was 4 more receptions than the second closest Dolphin.
With the added confidence in the passing game, Tua was not relied on in the ground game as much. He only had two runs in the entire game, and netted 0 yards overall.
With a new air raid style of offense that the Dolphins have implemented, I believe it suits the lefty QB. He proved that he has accuracy and can air the ball out when he needs to. Against the Ravens defense, who gave up the most passing yards last season, he has a chance to feast.
Miami Dolphins vs. Baltimore Ravens Prediction and Picks
Dolphins vs. Ravens Prediction: Dolphins 23, Ravens 20
Dolphins vs. Ravens Picks: Dolphins ML (+160 at BetOnline)
The Dolphins go up against a struggling secondary in Baltimore. With Tua’s success last week, and the defense stepping up big, I have no doubts that the Dolphins are in play for bettors this weekend.
The best value will lie in the moneyline for the Dolphins. At +160, they are considered pretty big underdogs. However, I see this game turning out a bit different, as Lamar Jackson will have to throw against a much better Dolphins defense.
