See Picks & Statistics For The GameSunday Night Football is here! Once again, the weekend has gone by way too quickly, but we are blessed with some football on NBC to close it out. While it isn’t the most exciting NFL matchup of the weekend, as we have the Lions facing the Vikings and Chiefs vs 49ers Super Bowl rematch, but regardless, it’s standalone football. The Pittsburgh Steelers host Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets this evening.
Now, the Jets have lost three straight games, scoring just 15.3 points per game in the process. However, that could all change this weekend. The Jets recently traded for WR Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders, and now the former Packers duo is reunited in the Big Apple, with a chance to take on one of the best defenses in the NFL. Will Adams and Rodgers immediately click? Or will the Steelers be able to slow them down?
Pittsburgh is coming off an extra day of rest and a win against Adams former team, although he didn’t play. Pittsburgh is 1-1 at home, allowing 20 points per contest at home in those two game. It was announced that Russell Wilson will make his first start for the Steelers, with Justin Fields being forced to the sidelines. Personally, I don’t really like this move, as I believe Fields was finding his groove with the offense, but we will see if it pays off tonight.
Strap in, because even though it doesn’t look great on paper, this should be an exciting game on Sunday Night.

Can Steelers Slow Down Jets?
We have some huge headlines surrounding this game. The New York Jets will start a trio of threatening wideouts, Davante Adams, Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard, reuniting the former Packer duo. I’m sure Rodgers and Adams can pick up right where they left off, but against a tough Steelers defense on the road in primetime may be a hard place to rekindle the flame.
On the other side of the ball, Pittsburgh is benching Justin Fields after his.. *checks notes*… 4-2 start, in order to trot out the almost 36 year old, Russell Wilson. He essentially lost the job to Fields during training camp, and now gets his shot, because apparently being tied for 1st in the AFC North isn’t enough for Mike Tomlin. I absolutely despise this move for an already mediocre offense, and I think they struggle to find a rhythm with a new leader on offense. Chris Boswell has been the offensive MVP so far this year for Pittsburgh, as he is 16/17 on field goals and a perfect 10/10 on extra points. He will probably get his work cut out for him tonight, as the Jets do a great job of keeping their opponent out of the red zone.
The Steelers defense will come to play tonight, as they always do, so I could see the Jets offense continuing to struggle. Coming off three straight losses, New York will need to find some answers. Adams will certainly help, but I don’t think he has much impact immediately. I lean heavily with this under, but will be technically holding off since I missed out on 43.5 posted earlier this week. Sitting at 39 right now, I certainly don’t see either team scoring 3 touchdowns or getting to 20 on the scoreboard. However, I’ll take a different route and just fade Mr. Unlimited.

As always… LINE SHOP! But I don’t see Pittsburgh moving the ball that often.
I really don’t understand this move by Mike Tomlin. You traded for this guy, he’s winning you games (with plenty of help from his defense and kicker), and now you kill any confidence he had going forward for a washed up veteran. I have no faith in Russell Wilson. He is very old by QB standards, and it was certainly noticeable during his short preseason stint.
Obviously he has shown something in practice that Tomlin likes, and I respect him so much as a Head Coach, but I will be fading tonight. The Jets defense has been under performing the last two weeks, but they faced the Bills and Vikings, holding both squads to 23 points and just 4 offensive touchdowns. Against the mediocre Steelers, I see them having no problem slowing down Wilson as the offense once again has to get used to a new quarterback. Give me Mr. Unlimited to be extremely limited tonight.
