Well it is Week 3 for the NFL and the injuries have been piling up already. Fantasy owners of McCaffrey, Pacheco, AJ Brown, Kenneth Walker and much more high fantasy picks are already in disarray. And the list goes on with the news that Kittle, Tua and Mixon will all miss this week. So let’s find some NFL fantasy starts for your banged up rosters. Not just obvious starts, but some sneaky NFL fantasy starts that can help bolster banged up rosters.
Not only will this article help fill out any injuries your team may have, we will find a correlated bet that goes along with the player that oozes value!
So without further ado, let’s kick get those rosters back into shape and help eek out wins! Here are some NFL fantasy starts and a best bet!
1. Zach Ertz o26.5 receptions -105 on BetOnline:
The Washington Commanders offense has been humming. While we are still waiting to see a true breakout, Jayden Daniels has at least looked like a fantasy weapon and has improved in his two NFL starts so far. This week he will get a prime time matchup against a tough Bengals secondary. This means he will need to use his feet to keep plays alive and may rely on short passes to extend drives and chip away at the defense.
Over the first two weeks of the season Zach Ertz has been a reliable fantasy tight end. If your team is without Kittle or Engram this week he is the perfect waiver pick up (I literally did snatched him this morning) and a reliable NFL fantasy starts for deeper rosters. In week one he had 28 receiving yards off three receptions. But exploded week two, snatching the ball 4 times and putting up 62 receiving yards.
Ertz has become a reliable target, and sees the field over 65% of the snaps over the first two games. Him and Jayden Daniels are building chemistry, which makes him feel due for a TD. If the Bengals lock up weapons like McClaurin, Ertz could be the go to guy for Daniels this week and his safety blanket moving forward. Ertz is a sneaky NFL fantasy starts and his receiving yeards looks like a solid bet as a straight or parlay piece this week.

2. Zach Charbonnet o22.5 receiving yards for -110 on BetOnline:
Does it surprise anyone that the Seattle Seahawks running game is formidable again? No it shouldn’t. And with Kenneth Walker doubtful (along with Mixon, Pacheco and CMC being out) there’s a good chance your NFL fantasy roster needs an running back to start. Enter Zach Charbonnet. Let’s not forget that Charbonnet was taken early in the NFL draft last year and the Seahawks will find a way to use him.
While he may have been a popular waiver addition last week, there’s still a chance he may be sitting around in shallower leagues. He is also someone who I would not be afraid to target in a trade to bolster depth or for Walker owners to acquire the handcuff. He has now put up double digit fantasy points and got a touchdown last week, making him a one of the sneaky NFL fantasy starts this week.
The Seahawks will take on the Miami Dolphins at home this week. The Dolphins will be starting back up quaterback Skylar Thompson and could lose control of the game quickly. That means the Seahawks may rely on the ground to attack them and control possession. In both games this season Charbonnet has been a great outlet pass catcher. He has 29 and 31 receiving yards across two games. This trend continues into last season where he has hit his 22.5 receving yard prop in the last two games of the regular season.
As Charbonnet becomes more comfortable in the NFL you can begin to see why the Seahawks took him high in the NFL draft. He will allow them to have a dual threat from the backfield and with Walker out he will try to shine and prove his worth. Charbonnet is a player to target in leagues as he is an affordable RB and rounds out our sneaky NFL fantasy starts.
Charbonnet’s receiving yard prop is just the icing on the cake for a gem of an NFL best bet.

3. Brock Bowers Ridley o47.5 receiving yards for -125 on BetOnline:
With banged up rosters you may have to rely on positions you are deep at. And if you were smart enough to draft Brock Bowers, then you may have two viable tight ends to start. Hell, I’m willing to start Bowers over most WR3 and some WR2’s in NFL fantasy right now. The tight end was hailed as one of the best prospects ever seen at the position. In two weeks of NFL action he is proving to be a game changer.
Bowers has put up 8.8 and 14.3 fantasy points in most .5 to full PPR formats in his first two weeks. He has put up 156 receiving yards already and is quickly becoming the Las Vegas Raiders top weapon as DeVante Adams is beginning to age. This is another player that could be worth going out and trading for before he really explodes as he should be a viable NFL start each week.
We may have just seen the tip of the iceberg of what Bowers can do as well. This week he faces quite possibly the worst NFL team in the league, the Carolina Panthers. Bowers may be able to tear apart this team’s horrible secondary meaning not only is he a sneaky NFL starts but his receiving yards is also a bet bet. Grab it while you can because Bowers receiving yards could easily be above 50.5 yards after this week.
