See Picks & Statistics For The GameJust one week ago, another team from the NFC North rolled into Seattle and wen home a win. The Packers just outplayed the Seahawks from start to finish last week and now you get the 12-2 Vikings coming to town. With plenty of playoff implications coming from each matchup this week, this ones no different.
The Vikings could realistically still win the NFC North, they’d have to go 3-0 to finish the year, including a win over the Lions in Week 18. Both the Seahawks and the Rams sit atop the NFC West, with the Rams currently holding the tie-breaker.
Both teams will finish the season facing one another, and both will need to snag every win they can. Plenty to talk about, but let’s start with my favorite props in this one. .
Here are our best bets for the Vikings vs. Seahawks!
- TJ Hockenson o43.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

Vikings vs. Seahawks Analysis & Breakdown
The Vikings have won 12 of their 14 games this year and Sam Darnold’s playing at a level I don’t think anyone saw coming. Darnold’s averaging 252.1 pass yards per game this year, he’s thrown 29 touchdowns (5th) and just 11 touchdowns. He’s been posting career-high numbers all over the place and it looks like the Vikings have all bought in.
Last week, Darnold threw for 231 yards but recorded just one passing touchdown in a win over the Bears. Darnold’s recored less than two passing touchdowns just 4 times this year, and he’s thrown 2+ passing touchdowns in 5 of his 6 road games.
On the other side, we’ve got Geno Smith under center for the Seahawks. Smith left last week’s game early with a knee injury, when he was unable to return it was Sam Howell that took his place. Sam was terrible and Smith looks like he’ll be suiting up this afternoon.
Going back to last year, Smith has a 16-13 record with the Seahawks; averaging 249.9 pass yards per game and he’s thrown 34 touchdowns to 22 interceptions. He’s helped make the Seahawks relevant again and with them battling for the NFC North, look for Geno to come out swinging today.
TJ Hockenson o43.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
Hock’s just been one of those guys this year that’s missed a lot of time with injury, then when he did come back. it took a little while to shake the rust. Not only had Hockenson not played since last year, but this is his first season with Sam Darnold under center.
One of the most important relationships in all of sports is the relationship between an NFL Quarterback and his receivers. Without time and practice during training camp, it looked like Hock and Darnold were not on the same page. Now, over his L4 games, he’s seen 27 targets for 239 yards.
Hock’s line to get into the endzone today sits at (+185), he hasn’t scored a single touchdown this year and he’s got an abysmal 7 red zone targets this year. The Vikings make a lot of big plays and because of it sometimes Hockenson can get lost in the offense.
He’s cleared this line in 3 of L4 games, averaging just under 7 targets per game and 59.8 receiving yards per game. The Seahawks rank 23rd in yards given up to TEs this year and have allowed almost every elite TE they’ve faced to clear this line.
The Touchdown is weirdly low, tap the button and we can b**** about it later.

Jaxson Smith-Njigba o63.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
The Seahawks have been a huge surprise this year. No one expected them to be in contention for the NFC West Title, but here they are sitting right behind the Rams for the division lead. Big reason for that is this Seahawks pass game.
Geno Smith is averaging 258.8 pass yards per game and Jaxson Smith-Njigba has emerged has his favorite target. He’s averaging 8 targets per game, 6.1 receptions and 71 receiving yards per game.
JSN has scored 4 touchdowns in 8 home games and now lines up against the Vikings 29th ranked pass defense. The Vikings are allowing 266.4 receiving yards per game and 190.9 receiving yards per game to WRs (32nd).
Tonight look for more of the same, Smith-Njigba should once again see a heavy target share and look for him to take advantage of the soft Minnesota secondary.
