After a tough loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, the Cincinnati Bengals are looking for revenge on Monday night against the Washington Commanders. The Commanders are coming off a surprising win over the New York Giants, where they scored solely through seven field goals.
Will the field goals play a role again in this prime-time matchup, or will the Bengals channel their frustration and take it out on the young Commanders squad? Let’s dive in!

Commanders vs Bengals Predictions
The Stank:
Wow, that line shot up in a hurry!
The Bengals opened as seven-point favorites, and in less than 24 hours, it’s moved to nine. I’m confident the Bengals will dominate the Commanders in primetime, but I’d wait to see how the line shifts before betting. Full disclosure, I took the Bengals at -7 on Sunday night.
Here’s why I think the Bengals will roll over Washington: First, they should be fired up after letting the Chiefs steal a win from them in the final seconds. Sure, people blame the refs, but I was raised to never blame the referees. My father always said the refs do not control the game. Cincinnati had plenty of opportunities to put the game away, forcing Patrick Mahomes to throw two interceptions but failed to capitalize.

Secondly, Washington stole the Chicago Bears’ flow. Bar for bar, by beating the New York Giants with just field goals. The Giants scored three touchdowns in Week 2, while the Commanders didn’t manage a single touchdown but still won 21-18 with seven field goals. Washington’s offense racked up 425 total yards and rushed for over 200. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels threw for 226 yards and rushed for 44.
Now, Washington heads to Cincinnati to face a Bengals team eager to vent their frustrations. With a stronger performance in Week 2 and Joe Burrow throwing for 258 yards, I expect the Bengals to win by double digits in what should be a high-scoring game.
Prediction: Bengals win & cover
