See Picks & Statistics For The GameWe have a showdown in the windy city. The Minnesota Wild are in town to take on the Chicago Blackhawks tonight. These 2 teams met back in December and the Wild won 4-3. We have you covered for you Wild vs Blackhawks picks for tonight.
Minnesota is 28-17-4 and is 3rd in the Central Division. They’re currently on a 2-game skid and are 4-6-0 in their last 10 games. The Wild have played decent in divisional play with a 10-7-2 record and are very good on the road with a 17-5-3 record.
Kirill Kaprisov started off this season with a Hart Trophy performance as he got out to the point lead right away. He currently has 23 goals and 28 assists but has since slid as the season has gone on. Despite that, he is having a great season to say the least.
To go with their middle of the road offense, the Wild’s defense has its problems. Goaltending as kept their goals allowed per game down, but they rank towards the bottom of the league for shots on goal allowed. Penalty kill is an area they need a lot of work in, ranking 3 worst in the league.
Goalie Filip Gustavsson is expected in net. He has a 18-10-3 record with a 2.63 GAA and a .913 save percentage. Gustavsson has 3 shutouts on the year to go along with it, but is on a 4-game losing streak, allowing at least 4 goals in each game.
Chicago will try to get the best of Minnesota and end their 2-game losing streak
The Blackhawks are still in their rebuild process, so not a surprise they’re struggling. Chicago is 15-28-5 and in last place of the Central. They’ll be looking to break a 2-game losing streak but are 3-4-3 in their last 10 games.
This team’s offense is centered around 2nd year player Connor Bedard. Bedard is coming off winning the Calder Trophy for Rookie of the Year last season. He has 13 goals and 29 assists so far this season and is the center of the rebuild for this team.
They offense and defense rank in the bottom of the league. They are 3rd worst in the league for goals allowed and shots on goal allowed per game. Chicago does play better at home than on the road, so that works in their favor.
Goalie Petr Mrazek is expected in net. His record is 9-16-2 this season with a 3.26 GAA and a .896 save percentage. These numbers are rather par for Mrazek as he isn’t that good in his career. Let’s check out the odds and get into the picks.

Wild vs Blackhawks Picks and Predictions: Minnesota Wild Puck Line -1.5 (+124) Get 50% up to $1000 Deposit on BetOnline for this pick
The Wild have won both games they played this year and both by 1 goal. I think this is the breakout game for them vs the Hawks. They play really good hockey on the road and know this Blackhawks team well.
Gustavsson really needs to stand tall and covering this puck line should be no problem. He has shown he can play well this season and this is a perfect game for him to step up for his team.
I like for Kirill Kaprisov to record 4+ shots on goal for -118. He hit his shots last game vs them and also scored a goal. Sprinkling his goal for +105 is a good look as well. Kaprisov has had a minimum of 3 shots on goal in his last 5 games and I think tonight we see 5.
In the goal scoring department, as a sneaky play is Jared Spurgeon for +700. For those odds, it’s hard to not sprinkle a guy who has 3 goals in the 2 games they’ve played this season.
