Mercury vs Dream Predictions
The Stank:
Welcome to Letdown Spot, USA, where the Atlanta Dream are overdue for a loss. After the Olympic break, they took down the Seattle Storm as seven-point underdogs and the Connecticut Sun as eight-and-a-half-point underdogs.
While the Mercury are coming off a dominant performance against the Chicago Sky on Sunday, this is the perfect time to back them against an overperforming Dream team—though not *that* Dream Team with Michael Jordan.
Phoenix has been superb on both offense and defense in their last 15 games, ranking in the top three in both categories. Their biggest issue is allowing threes to guards, but Atlanta struggles with the same.
Maybe the break was what the Dream needed to hit their stride and make a playoff run, but they’re still not a great team. The Mercury are far and away the superior team and should come out on top.
Give me Phoenix!
Prediction: Mercury win & Cover
Pick: Mercury Moneyline (-122)
