Tonight, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever will host A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces. The Fever have been on fire, clinching a playoff spot for the 1st time in 8 years.
Clark and the Fever are 19-18 on the season and the current 6th seed in the playoffs. They’re 7-3 in their last 10 games and 11-7 at home this season. The Fever have been playing in front of a sold-out crowd at home all season.
Although they’ve been hot, the Aces just humbled the Fever on Wednesday, losing by 11 points. It really could be a good bounce back spot for Indiana and the line is short, so it makes you wonder.
Indiana is going to need to play some defense to win this game. They rank almost last in the league for defensive rating and rank 9th in turnovers. Protecting the ball will be another key to winning this game.
Las Vegas will look for back-to-back wins over Indiana
The Aces will look to keep the momentum rolling from last game. A’ja Wilson had 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead the way. Otherwise, it was a team effort with 3 other players in double digit point totals.
This season, the Aces are 23-13 and are in the 4th seed so far. They’re 3 games behind the Sun, which would put them in a series vs the Fever if they took over the 3rd seed.
Las Vegas is one of the best offensive teams in the league, ranking in the top 3 for points per game, pace and field goal percentage. This team is also dangerous on defense, ranking 5th in defensive rating.
Let’s check out the odds and get into the picks.

It may seem like a stretch, but the Fever have shown they can contend with any team. I don’t know if they win, but I like for the to keep it close and 6 points is a nice amount.
Indiana needs to bounce back after last game. Everything was in their favor, but they couldn’t get the job done. In this case, we just need them to cover, not even win.
They need to figure out a way to contain A’ja Wilson as a start to keeping this game close. Hopefully they make some adjustments from last game to play better defense.
I think A’ja Wilson is good for another 25 points and 12 rebounds in this game. I also like Caitlin Clark to hit 4+ three-point shots. Both of these players are going to get plenty of opportunities all game.
