MJF vs. Jay White Prediction & Odds — AEW World Championship
- MJF (-5000)
- Jay White (+1000)
After stealing the AEW World Championship weeks ago, Jay White has a chance to legitimize his reign if he can defeat Maxwell Jacob Freidman this Saturday.
But as good as White is, I don’t see him being the official champion at Full Gear. For starters, a victory would feel underwhelming given that he’s already been carrying the title since last month. Secondly, it still feels like MJF’s reign has legs left, especially with potential challengers like Wardlow, Samoa Joe, and the Devil looming.
It’ll be a competitive match, but there’s no reason to doubt MJF just yet.
Prediction: MJF (-5000)
Ricky Starks & Big Bill vs. LFI vs. FTR vs. Kings of the Black Throne Prediction & Odds — AEW World Tag Team Championship
- Ricky Starks & Big Bill (-300)
- FTR (+300)
- Kings of the Black Throne (+500)
- LFI (+900)
Ricky Starks and Big Bill put their AEW World Tag Team Championships on the line in a fatal four-way match at AEW Full Gear. Retaining won’t be easy as they must face a trio of dangerous teams: FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), Kings of the Black Throne (Malakai Black and Brody King), and LFI (RUSH and Dralistico).
If there’s going to be a title change, I could see KOTBT winning the gold. Black and King are one of the best tag teams on the roster when given the chance. They’ve also been booked strong since returning from injury and winning would help capitalize on that momentum.
Nevertheless, I’m sticking with the champions to retain. Starks and Big Bill just haven’t had a ton of time with the titles yet and I feel like we’re just scratching the surface of what they can do as a duo. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Prediction: Ricky Starks & Big Bill (-300)
Kris Statlander vs. Julia Hart vs. Skye Blue Prediction & Odds — TBS Championship
- Kris Statlander (+450)
- Julia Hart (-600)
- Skye Blue (+700)
The multi-person action continues with a triple threat match for the TBS Championship. Kris Statlander looks to continue her impressive title reign as she defends her championship against both Julia Hart and Skye Blue.
I’m siding with the oddsmakers by backing Hart to get the job done here. The 22-year-old enigma has been highlighted on both Dynamite and Collision over the last few months, being booked stronger than most of her counterparts. The next logical step is a championship reign.
With Statlander doing all she could do and Blue not being ready for the ultimate spotlight just yet, prepare for Hart to bring the TBS Championship to the House of Black.
Prediction: Julia Hart (-600)
Golden Jets vs. Young Bucks Prediction & Odds
- Golden Jets (-300)
- Young Bucks (+200)
AEW Full Gear won’t see any shortage of drama and this match is the perfect example of that. After all, Kenny Omega is teaming up with Chris Jericho — the Golden Jets — to face his best friends and Elite brethren, the Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson).
While the Golden Jets are the favorites this weekend, I’m actually going with the Young Bucks. The Jacksons are trying to show Omega that Jericho is bringing him down and what better way to do that than by defeating the world championship duo?
Besides, the Bucks are likely heading toward a heel turn with how things have been playing out, so I won’t be surprised if they cheat to pull off the upset.
Prediction: Young Bucks (+200)

Hangman Page vs. Swerve Strickland Prediction & Odds — Texas Death Match
- Hangman Page (-1000)
- Swerve Strickland (+500)
In one of the most personal matchups at AEW Full Gear, “Hangman” Adam Page and Swerve Strickland are set to go one-on-one in a Texas Death Match. It’s similar to a Last Man Standing match, but a wrestler must be pinned before a 10-count is initiated.
After Strickland won when these two met at WrestleDream last month, it’s time for Page to even the score. He’s been starving for revenge ever since Strickland broke into his house and Wednesday’s red-hot promo solidified my belief that “Hangman” will get his win back.
Expect Page to win before the rivals collide for a rubber match in the near future.
Prediction: Hangman Page (-1000)
Orange Cassidy vs. Jon Moxley Prediction & Odds — AEW International Championship
- Orange Cassidy (+135)
- Jon Moxley (-185)
Two men who are more than familiar with each other are Orange Cassidy and Jon Moxley. The duo initially met at All Out in September when Moxley defeated Cassidy for the AEW International Championship only to give up to Rey Fenix a few days later due to injury. Cassidy then recaptured the belt on a Tuesday edition of Dynamite.
While I could see Moxley winning to give him a proper reign, I predict an upset in Inglewood. Cassidy’s epic international championship reign solidified him as one of AEW’s top stars and the only way he can get to the next level is by winning here.
Moxley is at the point in his career where a loss won’t hurt him in the fans’ eyes. Look for Cassidy to survive this brawl by the skin of his teeth.
Prediction: Orange Cassidy (+135)
Sting, Darby Allin, & Adam Copeland vs. Christian, Luchasaurus, & Nick Wayne Prediction & Odds
- Sting, Darby Allin, & Adam Copeland (-1500)
- Christian, Luchasaurus, & Nick Wayne (+600)
As his retirement tour continues, Sting teams up with Darby Allin and Adam Copeland to face the dastardly trio of Christian, Luchsaurus, and Nick Wayne. This feud has been brewing for months and it’s finally time that it’s reached a boiling point.
Christian defeated Allin at WrestleDream, so it only makes sense for the good guys to get some retribution. Sting can’t keep losing as he inches closer to the end of his career while Copeland certainly didn’t join AEW to end up with his back on the mat more often than not.
I could see the favorites winning, leading to another TNT Championship match between Allin and Christian — potentially at Winter is Coming.
Prediction: Sting, Darby Allin, & Adam Copeland (-1500)
Hikaru Shida vs. Toni Storm Prediction & Odds — AEW Women’s World Championship
- Hikaru Shida (+250)
- Toni Storm (-400)
Rounding out the AEW Full Gear predictions, “Timeless” Toni Storm is ready for her close-up as she looks to hold gold for the second time since joining the company. Standing in her way is three-time AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida, who’s always a tough customer.
It’d be a big mistake if AEW didn’t strike while the iron is hot. Storm is the correct pick to be champion, especially now that she has a fully fleshed-out character to match her elite in-ring skills
Shida is fantastic, no doubt, but Storm is the best thing going in the women’s division and deserves to be rewarded for her hard work.
Prediction: Toni Storm (-400)
