College World Series Final Preview
The College World Series Final features two SEC Rivals, and should we even be surprised at this point? An SEC team has won the past 3 College World Series Finals and a team from that conference has been featured in the past 5 titles.
It’s no question that the SEC has the 2nd most College World Series titles as a conference.
Both teams are used to being in this spot. This is the Tigers’ 19th trip to Omaha for the College World Series and it is the Gators’ 13th. Both squads have plenty of experience in this spot.
The Tigers are 6-1 all time in the College World Series Final. So who beat them?
The Florida Gators did, back in 2017 to capture their only CWS Title. Florida lost in the Final in 2005 to Texas and in 2011 to South Carolina. LSU has not had a title since 2009, so clearly they are hungry to bring home some hardware.
Will the Tigers cap off this great season with a trophy? Or will the Gators take down LSU in the College World Series Final like they did six years ago?

Tigers vs Gators Prediction & Best Bets
The Tigers are ranked 7th in the country, while the Gators rank 2nd. Although they both call the SEC home, being in different divisions with the NCAA scheduling, they have not faced off.
Lucky for us, we get to see them play at least two, hopefully three games this weekend at Charles Schwab Field in Middle America.
Last year, we saw Ole Miss sweep Oklahoma, but the previous three years the contest has gone all three games. In 2017, the Gators made quick work of the Tigers and took them down in two.
But I think this year might be different. The Tigers just took down the #1 team in the country twice, and are riding that momentum into the final tonight.
LSU is the last baseball team I’d want to face right now.
Give me the Tigers ML at +110. Geaux Tigahs!
Defense! Defense!
I don’t think this game is going to be very offensive. We’ve seen nearly all 13 games of this College World Series go under their total, especially in these later ones.
For starters, we’ve only had double digit runs in 3 of these 13 games, and the past 6 games have all stayed under 7.5 runs.
It’s crunch time for these guys, and I think LSU has the better pitchers overall. With the recent momentum, I think LSU benefits from a low scoring, pitching duel of a game and will look to make that happen on the mound.
I’ll gladly take under 9 at -105 and root for defense in this one.
