See Picks & Statistics For The GameThe Colorado Avalanche and St. Louis Blues meet at Enterprise Center for Game 6 of their second round series. The Avalanche hold a 3-2 series edge, but could not get the job done in Game 5, letting the Blues score late and steal the game in overtime.
The Avalanche held a 3-0 lead in Game 5 before St. Louis stormed all the way back to tie it with 3 unanswered goals. Colorado took the lead back with less than 3 minutes on the clock, but could not close out.
The Blues scored with under a minute left to send Game 5 to overtime. In the extra session, Tyler Bozak was the hero for St. Louis. He found the back of the net on St. Louis’ second shot of the frame to send us back to Enterprise Center for a Game 6.
The rare defensive collapse by Colorado in Game 5 allowed the Blues to climb back into the series, but that’s not to say that St. Louis has the ability to come all the way back from a 3-1 deficit.
The Blues have hope, but with Colorado still undefeated on the road, Game 6 is trending in the way of the favorites. According to Bovada Sportsbook, the Avalanche have the best chance to advance to the Western Conference Final on Friday night to face the Edmonton Oilers, who are awaiting the winner of this series.

Players to Watch
For the Avalanche, Nathan MacKinnon is on a hot streak. He recorded a hat trick their last time out to bring his goal total for the postseason to 8. He has recorded at least one point in all but one game against the Blues this season.
For the Blues, watch out for David Perron. He has 9 goals this postseason, and he has scored 4 times against the Avalanche during the series. He added two more goals against the Avs in the regular season, and if he scores once, he’s usually going to find the back of the net at least once more.
Both goaltenders will have to be sharper in Game 6. In the series, there have been a combined 35 goals scored between the two teams. St. Louis is still going with backup Ville Husso due to the injury to Jordan Binnington. Colorado sends Darcy Kuemper back out after a rough Game 5.
This will be a fun, close game to the very end. Both teams have proven themselves with the weapons they have. Even though St. Louis is at home, Colorado has not lost on the road during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Avalanche vs Blues Prediction and Best Bets
Avalanche vs. Blues Prediction: Avalanche 5 Blues 3
Avalanche vs. Blues Best Bets: Avalanche -1.5 (+145 at Bovada Sportsbook) and Over 6.5 total goals (-113 at BetUS)
The Avalanche should fix their mistakes from Game 5 and lock down a win in Game 6. Expect them to pull away late and continue their impressive road winning streak.
The last three games between the two teams have gone Over the total goal line. With this trend intact, and both teams scoring back-and-forth, I am confident there will be more than 6.5 goals scored in this matchup.
