Tuesday Night brings us a huge NHL slate with 9 total games across the league. With plenty of spots to be found, the boys will be Live on Puck It later this evening in order to break down the entire hockey slate, but in this piece, we will discuss the Dallas Stars hosting the San Jose Sharks.

Now, before I really get into the meat and potatoes of this article. We are fading the Sharks. I did it every single game last year for all 82 games, and we made nearly 8 units in the process. So far this season, we are 1-1 and up 1.1 units, and are looking to get another win tonight.

The Stars have played 3 games this season, winning all of them. They beat Nashville on the road and then went back home and skunked both the Islanders and the Kraken. Tonight they are at home as well, and have yet to allow a goal there so far this year. The Sharks are on the other side of the spectrum, losing a heartbreaker to the Blues, and then losing a close one to the Ducks, both at home. Now, San Jose is back on the road to face Dallas tonight, Chicago on Thursday, and Winnipeg on Friday.

Will the Sharks find a win on this road trip, or more importantly tonight? Or will the Stars continue to dominate at home this season?

Will Dallas Stay Undefeated This Season?

There isn’t much to be excited about surrounding San Jose Sharks hockey, especially since their rookie Mackline Celebrini just got placed on the IR. The Sharks are now on their first road trip of the season without their young stud, and the rest of the team isn’t doing very well otherwise.

They had the Blues on the ropes, leading 4-1 going into the 3rd period. But a 3-0 routing in the final period from the Blue forced overtime where Brayden Schenn netted a winner just 45 seconds into OT, smashing the Sharks hopes. The very next game, they played the Ducks to a scoreless opening 50 minutes of play, but conceded a go ahead go with 9 minutes to go, and an empty netter fro Zegras to cover the puckline.

At home tonight, the Stars should have no problem taking down San Jose.

The Stars beat a very good Predators team on the road, and then shutout both the Islanders and the Kraken. They are being outshot in every single game, but with Jake Oettinger between the pipes, they are more than fine. I think the Sharks will be able to pepper the net a bit, but Dallas is blocking 13.67 shots per contest. I don’t expect them to sneak very many past Oettinger tonight, and I do think Dallas is more than capable of scoring on San Jose.

The Sharks kept the Ducks in check, but this Stars offense is much more talented than Anaheim’s.

Sharks vs Stars Prediction: Stars Win 4-1 (+1000)

Best Bets: Stars -1.5 (-128) Bovada

Here we go again, fading the Sharks and taking the Stars on the puck line. While I’ll admit, taking a -300 team isn’t always appealing, and neither is taking a PL for negative odds, but I believe the Stars blow them out of the water tonight.

They aren’t scoring 6+ goals a game, but they’ve covered the PL in two straight, shutting their opponent’s out in the process. With Celebrini not on the roster tonight, the Sharks offense is seriously depleted, causing me to have no problem paying some juice on the Stars to win by two goals.

Last season, the Stars were 26-11-4 at home, while the Sharks were just 8-29-4 on the road. Yes, it’s last season’s stats, how much do they really matter? Maybe not much, but tonight I still see the Stars dominating at home tonight.
