Start your Sunday off across the pond with some tea and crumpets while you watch a couple of FA Cup Quarterfinal matchups. Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace both booked their spot in the semifinals, and now we have two more matches as four teams play in for the final couple spots. We’ve looked at both matches and have our best bets so let’s get into it.
English FA Cup Quarterfinals Best Bets
Preston North End vs Aston Villa Best Bets

Watkins and Villa take on Preston North End in the FA Cup Quarterfinals
Best Bet: Aston Villa ML/BTTS No (+130) BetOnline
Aston Villa is on the road but they are still -230 on the ML and -500 to advance. Everything points to a Villa victory. Preston currently sits 14th in the EFL Championship Table, so they aren’t even good in their own division. However they’ve gone on their own sort of Cinderella Run in this tournament and find themselves in the quarterfinals with a legitimate shot at some hardware. However now they have to play with the big dogs, and things haven’t been going well overall for them.
They are coming off a home win, but prior to that have drawn or lost in 6 of their L7 and not against stellar competition. This will be a wake up call for them, even at home. While Aston Villa might not play all of their studs, they will do enough to advance to the next round. Any sort of hardware is better than none, and seeing a potential matchup against Palace, Forest or City (if they advance) is very interesting.
Give me Villa to win in shutout fashion against a squad that respectfully has no business sharing the pitch with them.
Prediction: Aston Villa Wins 2-0 (+600)
AFC Bournemouth vs Manchester City Best Bets

Best Bets: AFC Bournemouth Draw No Bet (+120) BetOnline
AFC Bournemouth actually beat Manchester City already back in November in the EPL at home, and doing so again will be a tall task. However I think they are worth the stab for a draw no bet. Keep in mind, this is a 90 minute bet. If the match is tied, there will be extra time and even penalty kicks to decide a winner, but if things are tied after full time, we walk away unscathed.
Manchester City has so many issues going on and have not been in great form recently. While hardware of any kind would be a positive this season, I don’t think they have it in them. The entire team is dealing with injuries, especially the back line. Bournemouth won’t be overly aggressive, as to not expose themselves, however they have very little to lose and everything to gain. In a season where plenty of teams are looking to get revenge on City in a down year, Bournemouth has already done just that. In the quarterfinals of a domestic cup, I see them bringing their A-game against City once again.
Give me the underdog to come out feisty at home and put up a fight.
Prediction: AFC Bournemouth Wins 1-0 (+1200)
