Yes, yes, of course we have College Hoops today with two Final Four matchups between Florida and Auburn as well as Duke vs Houston. However, there is a massive MLS slate today, and it’s time I start turning my CBB brain off for the summer, and focus on something else. There will be more MLB and NHL from me in the future, but for today, let’s take a peek at our best bets on the soccer field in the MLS.
Head over to our MLS Picks Page for our expert’s soccer analysis, or read my best bets below.
Major League Soccer: Saturday’s Predictions
New York Red Bulls vs Chicago Fire Best Bets

Eric Choup-Moting has 2 goals for the Red Bulls this season
Best Bet: NY Red Bulls ML (-120) BetOnline
For starters, our friends over at BetAlytics and I have hit four straight MLS Collab plays in four consecutive weeks. Let me introduce you to collab number five right here.
The Chicago Fire have been playing well, and sit pretty high up on the Eastern Conference table early in the season, and are 2nd in the league in scoring. However, they also allow plenty of goals. The Fire have conceded 10 goals in their six matches, including giving up 2 per game on the road, even though they are 3-0-1 on the road this year. The offense has clearly been there, but being on the road today against the Red Bulls gives me pause.
New York is unbeaten at home this season, scoring 2 goals in each match. They’ve been able to contain some high scoring offenses this season, holding Atlanta to a nil-nil draw at home. Now, they are coming off a road loss to New England after allowing a PK in the 7th minute of stoppage time to lose. This is a three star projection on BetAlytics, and for this price, I think the Red Bulls catch the Fire sleeping.

Prediction: Red Bulls Win 2-0 (+700)
Columbus Crew vs CF Montreal Best Bets

Diego Rossi has scored 4 goals for Columbus so far this season
Best Bets: Columbus Crew ML (-155) BetOnline
I also endorse the Crew’s TT Over 1.5 at (-150), but paid a little extra just to see them win. The Crew are unbeaten through six MLS matches this season, allowing just 4 goals in 6 games while netting 8 of their own. They face a team that finally scored their first goal after being shutout in four straight games. Montreal has only netted 3 goals this season but have allowed 10 from their opponents.
Montreal’s defense has not been good, but offensively they are playing fearless. They’ve clearly got nothing to lose after digging themselves into this hole, but the Crew’s defense is certainly capable of keeping them there.
Montreal has played on the road every game this season, and things don’t change now. Eventually the excessive travel and lack of a routine will come into play on the field. I think that shows today as the home team dominates them on their way to a win for their fans.
Prediction: Columbus Wins 2-0 (+600)
