The UEFA Champions League is back for the 2nd leg matches in the Round of 16! Four teams are looking to punch their ticket to the quarterfinals, while four others will be sent home. Let’s dive in to today’s slate and find our best bets across Europe!
Remember, matches today are the second and final leg between the teams. There are no extra incentives for scoring on the road, and teams simply need to win on aggregate score to advance to the quarterfinals. Below are my best bets in the UCL today, but for our expert’s soccer picks, go to this page here!
UEFA Champions League: Tuesday’s Soccer Action
Keep in mind lines are adjusted and as sharp as they can be. This is the 2nd leg of these contests, so most bets will be settled after a 90 minute result, even if the match continues. If teams are still tied on aggregate after 90 minutes, they will be extra time and possibly a PK shootout to decide a winner.
Barcelona vs Benfica Best Bets

Robert Lewandowski and Barcelona take on Benfica today back at home
Barcelona lead 1-0 on aggregate
Best Bets: Barcelona/Benifca Under 3.5 (-105) BetOnline
Barcelona is only up one goal on aggregate, but they are back at home and -250 on the ML, and -2500 to advance to the quarterfinals. Barcelona is not giving up this lead. I see them winning this game in a bit more style than they did on the road. Even though they are one of the highest scoring offenses in Europe, their defense is rock solid as well.
Barcelona has allowed just 13 goals in 9 UCL matches this season, plus they’ve shutout their last three La Liga opponents. This will be the 3rd meeting between these two teams in the Champions League, as they matched up in league phase as well. Benfica has nothing to lose and everything to gain, so expect them to be aggressive.
While this will open things up for Barcelona on the counter attack, I do think the best bet in this matchup is the under. Despite 9 goals between the two in the first meeting, defenses cracked down and they played to a one goal match the next time. Barcelona will be without CB Pau Cubarsí who drew a straight red card in their first meeting. I don’t think that impacts the game much, as not only were the short-handed Spaniards able to beat Benfica on the road, but holding them scoreless should be easy again. Barca’s back line is plenty deep, and the next man is ready to step up.
Prediction: Barcelona Win 2-0 (+850)
Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich Best Bets

Can Leverkusen beat Munich at home today?
Bayern Munich lead 3-0 on aggregate
Heavy Lean: Bayer Leverkusen or Draw (-145) BetOnline
Okay, listen up. Bayern Munich just destroyed Leverkusen at home to give themselves a three goal cushion heading into today’s matchup. But now Leverkusen is at home, and they have nothing to lose. They had gotten the best of Bayern Munich for a while, but Munich laid the hammer down at home.
Now on the road, I expect Munich to sit back and let the attack come to them. There is no point in trying to attack, getting caught on the counter once, and giving Leverkusen all the momentum they need. Munich is -4000 to advance, telling me they don’t give up this lead. However I don’t see much motivation from their side either.
Even though it is a little juicy, getting a win from two results from the home team as they are down three is incredible value in my eyes. I see Leverkusen winning this match but being unable to duplicate what Munich did to them a week ago.
Prediction: Leverkusen Win 1-0 (+1100)
Inter Milan vs Feyenoord Rotterdam Best Bets

Can Inter Milan take down Feyenoord Rotterdam and advance in the UCL?
Inter leads 2-0 on aggregate
Best Bets: Inter/Feyenoord Under 3 (-148) BetOnline
Buckle up, this is my first ever 2U soccer play. We bet the under 2.5 last game and cashed, along with Inter ML/BTTS No. Today we are essentially seeing the match the same way.
Inter just beat them 2-0 on the road. Sure, Feyenoord has nothing to lose, but they are back in Italy against the best backline in the Champions League. They’ve shutout two of their last three opponents at home, and this team is hungry to get back to the UCL Final. Plus, they have not allowed a goal at home in the UCL this season, and it’s not just because they’ve had an easy schedule.
Inter Milan shutout Arsenal, RB Leipzig and AS Monaco at home this competition. They also shutout Red Star Belgrade but that’s less impressive. To top it off, they did not allow goals to Manchester City on the road, and only lost to Leverkusen 1-0 on the road as well. That is the only goal Inter has allowed in the UCL this season. I do not see them letting any up to Rotterdam at home, but this is also a team that won’t over attack. I see them playing very conservative and focusing on keeping the attack at bay in this contest.
Give me the under!
Prediction: Inter Milan Win 1-0 (+575)
Liverpool vs PSG Best Bets

Virgil Van Dijk controls the back line for Liverpool
Liverpool lead 1-0 on aggregate
Best Bet: Liverpool Draw No Bet (-132) Bovada
Liverpool set themselves up for success by finding a late winner in France last week. Now they are back at Anfield with a one goal aggregate lead, hosting a PSG team that is likely to roll over and die. For a little juice, I’ll gladly back the home team with push potential for a draw.
I do not see a world where Liverpool lets up this lead to their visitors. They were absolutely DOMINATED when they went to PSG despite the victory. PSG outshot Liverpool 27-2, and had 10 shots on target. The only difference? Liverpool’s lone shot on target found the back of the net.
Defense will certainly be a high priority for the home team today after allowing almost 30 shots in the previous meeting. For this price, it’s too hard to pass up the hosts with an aggregate lead.
Prediction: Liverpool Wins 1-0 (+1200)
