For fans of the fight game, a battle between big-hitting veteran boxers is on tap for tonight at the O2 Arena in London. Derek Chisora and Deontay Wilder have both been fighting professionally for nearly two decades but have yet to go head-to-head in the ring. That is, until tonight, when we will finally get the long-awaited Chisora vs. Wilder matchup that many have hoped for.
Both Chisora, a two-time WBC heavyweight title challenger, and Wilder, who held the WBC heavyweight title for more than five years, have faced other top heavyweights over the years. But until this matchup materialized in recent months, a proposed 2013 fight that did not get finalized is the closest they had come to facing off.
While it is not a title fight, it is a landmark fight, as it will be the 50th professional bout for both boxers.
Whose 50th fight will end in victory? At Lucky Rebel and other top online sportsbooks, Chisora is favored to prevail tonight, but the margins are tighter than most major matchups.
Both fighters are into their 40s and past their prime at this point, but that doesn't mean a great fight isn't in store. And as Lopez vs. Stevenson, Barrios vs. Garcia, and other top tilts on the 2026 calendar, you can watch Chisora vs. Wilder on DAZN, the home of the biggest bouts in boxing.

Chisora vs. Wilder Prediction and Analysis
Had this bout occurred when both were in their prime, Wilder likely would have been favored, even in London.
But "The Bronze Bomber" is just 2-4 in his last six fights, with two losses to Tyson Fury and losses to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang. And while boxers at this level typically don't fight frequently, Chisora has more recent bouts under his belt than Wilder. Wilder has fought just six times in the last six years, while Chisora has eight in that same period.
Chisora owns the superior recent form as well. Entering tonight's matchup vs. Wilder, Chisora has won each of his last three fights since a TKO loss to Tyson Fury in December 2022.
Wilder beat Tyrell Anthony Herndon in his most recent bout last June, but he had lost four of five prior to that TKO win in Wichita, Kansas.
That said, I quite like Wilder to upset the odds here and take the triumph at the O2. If either fighter harbors any serious hope of getting another title fight before hanging up the gloves, a win tonight is a must.
So, we should hopefully see them both at their best, or at least the best they can offer at this point. And while he hasn't shown it often in recent years, I still feel like Wilder's best is better than Chisora's best. I don't envision an early knockout, but I do see Wilder finishing this one before the end of the scheduled 12 rounds.
