BETER has expanded its Canadian operations after securing supplier registration from Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC).
The registration allows BETER to provide its sports and esports content to licensed operators in Alberta. It also marks the company's second provincial registration in Canada, following Ontario.
The move strengthens BETER's presence in Canada as Alberta develops its regulated online gambling market. It also gives the company another jurisdiction to build relationships with licensed operators.
According to BETER's press release, the registration supports the company's wider North American expansion strategy. The company highlighted its live content, real-time data, and betting odds as key products for operators.
BETER Brings Sports and Esports Content to Alberta
BETER offers a broad portfolio of live sports and esports content for betting operators. Its products include ESportsBattle, Setka Cup table tennis, and BSKT Cup basketball.
ESportsBattle covers simulated competitions across eFootball, eBasketball, eHockey, and eTennis. Meanwhile, the Setka Cup and BSKT Cup provide dedicated live sports competitions.
BETER says its portfolio covers more than 740,000 events annually. Each event can feature up to 50 betting markets, while the company reports an average operator margin above 8%.
The company also supplies live streams, real-time data, and betting odds alongside its event portfolio. These products can help operators offer betting markets across different competitions throughout the day.
Gal Ehrlich, CEO of BETER, said Alberta represents another step in the company's Canadian expansion:
"Expanding into Alberta is another important step in BETER's growth across the Canadian market and strengthens our position in North America," Ehrlich said.
"Alberta's regulated market provides new opportunities for operators to access our exclusive products, supported by reliable data, live streams, and odds."
Ehrlich added that performance in Alberta could reinforce BETER's approach to providing round-the-clock content.
"Success in Alberta demonstrates the continued demand for BETER's round-the-clock content and reinforces our commitment to building a strong and sustainable presence in Canada," Ehrlich added.
Regulatory Compliance Supports Further Expansion
BETER's Alberta registration adds to its existing regulatory presence in Ontario. The company is continuing to expand through regulated markets while maintaining its focus on compliance.
That approach remains important as suppliers seek partnerships with licensed gambling operators. BETER says its dedicated Integrity team monitors its exclusive content around the clock.
The company also works with organizations including the International Betting Integrity Association and Esports Integrity Commission. These relationships support its wider focus on integrity across sports and esports betting.
Valeriia Tarchynska, Chief Legal Officer at BETER, said the Alberta registration reflects the company's regulatory priorities:
"Securing our Alberta registration reflects our continued commitment to meeting the highest regulatory and compliance standards in every market we enter."
She added that BETER will continue pursuing North American growth while maintaining its focus on compliance and sustainable development.
"With registrations now secured in both Ontario and Alberta, we are continuing to expand our presence in North America while maintaining a strong focus on regulatory compliance, sustainable growth, and trusted relationships with our operator partners and stakeholders," she said.
Tarchynska also credited BETER's Toronto-based legal partner, GME Law, for supporting its Canadian registrations.
"Both registrations were secured in close collaboration with our Toronto-based trusted partner, law firm GME Law, whose team worked tirelessly with regulators to make this expansion possible," she said.
BETER Continues Its North American Growth
The Alberta registration gives BETER another regulated market for its sports and esports portfolio. It also expands the company's Canadian reach beyond Ontario.
For Alberta operators, the approval creates another potential source of live betting content, data, streams, and odds. For BETER, it provides another platform for developing commercial relationships in North America.
The move comes as Alberta gambling continues to develop within a regulated market framework. Consequently, supplier approvals remain an important step for companies seeking to serve licensed operators.
BETER's latest registration combines that market opportunity with its focus on regulatory compliance. With registrations in Alberta and Ontario, the company continues building its Canadian presence alongside its broader North American expansion.
