Nevada Sports Betting Revenue Climbs 20% in June 2026

Nevada's regulated betting market delivered another solid month in June 2026. The state's sportsbooks recorded year-over-year gains in both wagering activity and operator revenue.

According to the latest figures, bettors remained active throughout the summer sports calendar, while operators benefited from favorable outcomes across several major events.

The results also arrived as the state continued defending its regulated market through legal action against Kalshi.

Nevada Sports Betting Revenue Rises in June 2026

The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) reported that the state's licensed sportsbooks accepted $587.6 million in wagers during June 2026. That total represented a 16.5% year-over-year increase compared to June 2025.

Sportsbooks generated $50.5 million in revenue during the month, marking a 20% annual increase. Operators also posted an 8.7% hold, up slightly from 8.5% a year earlier. The improved hold rate, combined with higher wagering activity, helped lift sportsbook earnings.

The strong sportsbook performance contributed to $1.34 billion in statewide gaming revenue during June. According to the NGCB, Nevada casinos generated $1,340,165,190, representing a 0.82% year-over-year increase.

Although Nevada does not offer statewide mobile registration like many US online sportsbooks, licensed operators continued attracting strong betting activity through their established retail and mobile ecosystems.

The latest figures also demonstrated that Nevada gambling remains resilient despite growing competition from newly regulated markets.

Meanwhile, casino gaming also produced steady results during the month. Slot machines remained the state's largest revenue source, while table games delivered solid returns despite softer baccarat performance.

The balanced results across multiple gaming segments underscored the stability of Nevada's regulated market, even as US online casinos continued expanding across other states.

Soccer and Baseball Helped Drive June's Betting Results

Several major sporting events supported Nevada's strong sportsbook performance during June.

According to the NGCB report, the "Other" sports category generated the highest sportsbook revenue at $18.9 million, representing a 48.5% year-over-year increase.

The category includes soccer and benefited from betting activity surrounding international competitions. This includes the FIFA World Cup and other global matches played during the month.

Baseball followed closely, producing $17.9 million in sportsbook revenue as Major League Baseball's regular season delivered a full slate of games. Baseball remained one of the month's most consistent betting products because of its daily schedule.

The NBA Finals also attracted significant wagering before the championship series concluded in June. Meanwhile, the Stanley Cup Final, golf tournaments, tennis events, and other international competitions created additional betting opportunities throughout the month.

The diverse sports calendar helped maintain strong wagering activity despite the absence of football. At the same time, sportsbooks benefited from favorable betting outcomes, allowing operators to generate higher revenue while posting an 8.7% hold.

The balanced mix of sporting events highlighted the resilience of Nevada gambling. Rather than depending on one marquee competition, sportsbooks generated healthy returns across several leagues and tournaments before the busy football season begins.

Kalshi Removes Sports Event Contracts Following Nevada Dispute

Nevada's sports betting success comes as regulators continue protecting the state's established gaming framework from emerging prediction markets.

Earlier this year, the NGCB ordered Kalshi to stop offering sports-related event contracts in Nevada. Regulators argued that the contracts functioned as unauthorized sports wagers under state law.

The dispute later shifted into federal court. However, Kalshi ultimately agreed to the NGCB's joint stipulation order, removing its sports-related event contracts from Nevada while litigation continues.

The agreement represented a notable development because Nevada has remained one of the most aggressive states challenging federally regulated prediction markets.

State regulators continue arguing that sports event contracts fall under Nevada's long-standing sports betting laws rather than federal commodities regulations.

The legal battle remains closely watched across the gaming industry because its outcome could influence how prediction markets operate alongside regulated sportsbooks throughout the United States.

Can Nevada Maintain Its Momentum Through The Rest of 2026?

Nevada appears well positioned to build on June's performance during the second half of 2026.

The arrival of the NFL preseason, college football, and the NFL regular season traditionally produces the year's highest betting volumes. Baseball's playoff race and the return of college athletics should also create additional wagering opportunities.

Tourism could provide another boost. Las Vegas continues attracting convention visitors, entertainment fans, and international travelers, supporting casino visitation throughout the year.

Competition will remain intense as more states expand regulated betting markets and US online sportsbooks continue investing in customer acquisition.

Even so, Nevada's mature regulatory framework, established sportsbook operators, and consistent tourism base provide important advantages.

If wagering demand remains strong through football season, Nevada gambling could finish 2026 with another year of steady growth.
