Happy Monday. We had a tough week last week but the weather is looking great tonight in the MLB and I've got two hitters I love tonight. Let's jump right into it and hopefully back into the win column.

- xBA — Expected BA
- SLG — Slugging Percentage
- ISO — Isolated Power
- wOBA — Weighted On-Base Average
- HH% — Hard Hit Rate
- BRL% — Barrel Rate
- HR/9 — Home Runs per 9 innings
- XBH — Extra Base Hit
- RBI — Runs Batted In

Today's Dingers
Nick Kurtz Home Run (+225) | Lucky Rebel
Nick Kurtz currently leads the Athletics in hits, runs, RBI and home runs. The kid has been great and in just his second year he's become the Athletics best and most reliable bat.
Kurtz is hitting .279 this year with a .525 SLG and 19 home runs. He's got a 58% HH this year and he's crushing the ball at home. Here in Sacremento the lefty's hitting .313 on the year, 13 of his 19 home runs have come here at Sutter Health Park and his SLG jumps to .646; while his HH jumps to 60%.
Kurtz has also been great against lefties this year. He's hitting .271 against left handed pitchers with 6 home runs and a 48% HH.
Eric Lauer's on the bump for the Dodgers. He's got a 4.87 ERA this year and he's allowing lefties to hit .293 on the year with a .585 SLG and 45% HH. Lauer's giving up a 65% flyball rate this year and he's giving up 2.2 HR/9.
Lauer also relies heavily on his 4-seam fastball against left handed hitters and that's a pitch we've seen Kurtz crush all year. Against lefties, Kurtz has a .308 BA against the 4-seam fastball and a 62% HH. Nine of his 19 home runs have come against that very pitch this year and it's something Lauer's throwing 48% of the time against lefties.
Shohei Ohtani Home Run (+220) | Lucky Rebel
Shohei Ohtani is back and he's been incredible this month. Ohtani's hitting .333 this month, with 7 home runs, a .654 SLG and 38 combined runs/RBI.
Tonight the Dodgers are in Sutter Health Park and when it comes to home runs there's no better ballpark. Ohtani's got a tougher matchup than usual tonight with rookie, Gage Jump making his 7th start of the year.
Jump's now started 6 games, he's gone 35.1 innings and he's got a 2.04 ERA. Jump has yet to give up his first career home run, despite giving up a flyball rate north of 60%.
Against left handed batters we've also seen Jump struggle a little bit. Lefties are hitting .259 against Jump this year, with a 32% HH and tonight he faces one of the best in the MLB.
Ohtani's hasn't hit a home run in exactly seven days and tonight in Sacremento feels like the perfect spot to break that streak.
