Braves vs. Phillies: We have early action on the diamond, and the Bear is heading straight for the bases. Marcell Ozuna draws an elite spot in game one of today's doubleheader. With power numbers and matchup data lining up, the value is too strong to pass up.

Early game action, and we are riding the Bear's bases!
Marcell Ozuna holds an Elite rating on Batters-Box for game one of the doubleheader. In 35 elite-rated road spots, Ozuna has recorded a hit 71% of the time, two or more hits 42% of the time, and gone over this prop 54% of the time. He goes over 1.5 hits, runs, and RBI in 65% of these matchups. If you prefer that route and feel it is the safer prop, take it. I think that is another strong look. However, at +140, we are getting excellent value on the Braves slugger.
The Phillies are sending left-hander Cristopher Sanchez to the mound today. He carries a poor average hitter matchup in terms of hard contact percentage. The 28-year-old is allowing over 37% hard contact to opposing hitters. He owns a 3.17 ERA with a 1.26 WHIP, and is giving up 1.6 extra-base hits per start this season—allowing an average of 4.8 hits per game.
Sanchez throws nearly 50% sinkers, which works in our favor. Ozuna has been crushing sinkers all season. According to Baseball Savant, he has a run value of 7 against the pitch, with a .379 xBA, .556 xSLG, .466 xwOBA, and a 54% hard-hit rate. Only one of Sanchez's three pitches shows a positive whole-number value on FanGraphs. Ozuna matches up extremely well against the rest of his arsenal.
With the trends and matchup all aligning, I believe we are getting excellent value for the Braves stud to record two bases this afternoon.
