Let’s kick this off with Sonny Gray on the bump against the Astros. Gray has been great for the Twins so far this season, with a 4-0 record and a fantastic 1.82 ERA. He is averaging 10.93 Strikeouts per 9 innings as well, consistently fanning batters and commanding the strike zone.

He has 6+ K’s in 6 of his last 7 and 7 of his last 9 starts, one of those being a 13 strikeout effort against these Astros.

I like Gray to get off to a good start today and possibly flirt with 10+ K’s again.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs SanFransisco Giants Best Bet

Rich Hill o5.5 Strikeouts (+124) FanDuel

All three of the props I love today are plus money plays. Hill is possibly my favorite.

The 43 year old Hill has been up and down for the Pirates to start the season but he has been striking out batters like crazy. He is 4-4 with a 4.27 ERA but is averaging almost 9 Strikeouts per 9 innings.

He has 6+ strikeouts in 4 of his last 7 starts and will have plenty of chances to mow down some Giants today.

In those 4 hits, he also had 7+ strikeouts, which is awesome value as well.

Washington Nationals vs Los Angeles Dodgers Best Bet

J.D. Martinez o1.5 Bases (+120) BetMGM

Let’s finish this off with Martinez, who has been smoking the baseball.

J.D. has 2+ bases in 6 straight games and 9 of his last 10.

He also is great against right handed pitchers, batting .315 with 8 HRs and 28 RBIs. He get’s a go at righty Trevor Williams on the bump for the Nationals today, who has been up and down to start the season.

Martinez will have plenty of chances to make good contact and find some gaps.

For the plus money value and the fantastic recent success, how can you not take this prop?

His 3+ bases is a nice plus money play as well. He has 3+ bases in 4 of his last 6 games and I expect another big day from J.D again.
