Happy Hump Day, everyone! The MLB slate could not be any more appetizing. Games are all day long, and there are so many opportunities to make some cash! Here are my two favorite plays this afternoon.

We have finally made it out of April, May has arrived. Now that I am back in Chicago the vibes are high. I went up +10.1 units over the past week. That feels great! I hope the good energy carries over into the beautiful month of May.

I know your jaw is probably on the floor right now after reading "Athletics Team Total Over," but today is a great day to trust the boys in Coliseum. Today, the A's are taking on Pirates starter Quinn Priester, who has only had a couple of starts this year and came off a solid outing against the Giants last Friday. Going 6.0 innings pitches, only allowing three hits and no runs.

Today is a new day, and according to Batters-Box.com, Priester has to take on seven elite hitters. Oakland's average rating today is 0.456 (Elite Rating). To give perspective on how good that is, the Pirates' average hitter rating today against Ross Stripling is 0.346 (Above Average), which is why I also like the Athletics to win this game.
Although, Oakland is a below average team, they have been playing some good ball as of late. In their last three games they are averaging 5.67 runs per game (8th best in that span).
If the 3.5 total runs line seems daunting and you prefer a more conservative approach, consider pairing it with J.J. Bleday to record a hit. Bleday has shown success against Priester's pitches, leading the team in batting average and having an elite rating for today's game, making him a strong contender to record a hit.

Is this more your style? A much more efficient and dominant team? The Atlanta Braves have been rolling all season long, as they should. They are a fully loaded juggernaut.
I am in love with Marcell Ozuna today. He crushes all four of Merson Hancock's pitches, all of which are below league average except for his fastball. Do not worry; Ozuna is batting an astounding .467 with an OPS of 1.248. Ozuna is also the number one hitter on Batters-box.com in this season's ratings and the number two hitter in this game in the default ratings.

When Ozuna has an elite rating, he records a hit 69.23% of the time, a single 61.54%, and a home run 30.77%. Yes, of course, I sprinkled on the home run.
On top of that, Mr. Hancock is facing a Braves team that is trying to avoid the series sweep in Seattle. Hancock has to take on four elite hitters (Acuna Jr, Ozuna, Riley & Duvall). The Mariners' starter has been very inconsistent to start the season he has shown he can be a dominate pitcher, but he still has bad games here and there. I think situationally, this a bad spot for him facing one of the leagues best after losing two straight to a team they are easily better than.
