The weekend might be over, but the fun never stops. Today we have beautiful slate of games on the diamond today and I have a couple props that I would like to share.

The Stank:
Over in the Rocky Mountains, the Egg Man (Eguy Rosario) and the Padres look to take full advantage of Austin Gomber. Gomber has given up 22 hits and 11 runs in four starts this season. Most of his pitches are below league average. Today, he faces a lineup with an average hitter rating of 0.485 (elite rating), according to Batters-box.com.
Dylan Cease is on the bump for the Padres, and he looks fantastic. With a record of 2-1 and an ERA of 1.99, he should have a lot of success against a Rockies lineup with an average hitter rating of 0.36 (Low Above Average Rating). Eight hitters on the Rockies roster are above the MLB K Rate Percentage. Cease should deal.
Eguy Rosario's now owns a 177 wRC+
Vs. LHP his wRC+ is > 220.
He's swinging & missing more than last season, but he's also hitting the ball harder.

Rosario has been playing some great ball to start the year, batting .276 with an OPS of .978. He is sitting atop my favorite website, Batters-box.com, with the best matchup rating on the day. The Egg Man is an excellent play to record a hit, especially since he crushed four of Gomber's five pitches.

The Stank:
I'm going back to the team total props since it makes more sense to pick a team with a bunch of elite matchup ratings than a bunch of guys to hopefully get a hit.
Today, the Braves face off against Ryan Weathers, who has allowed 2+ runs per start this season and at least 4+ hits. According to Batters-box.com, he takes on a star-studded team that has six hitters with elite matchup ratings. The Braves' average hitter rating today is .475, which is elite. Olson, Acuna, and Riley are all elite today.

This season, the Braves average the most runs per game, 6.25. Miami, on the other hand, gives up the fourth most runs, 5.35. A couple of weeks ago, when these two teams faced off in Miami, the Braves went over this number in two of the three games of that series.
