If you've been paying attention to the MLB all year you know the Nats have had the best offense in baseball all season. We're approaching August and this offense continues to rake. They have scored 559 runs so far this season which ranks first in baseball. The best offense in the sport playing at Coors Field should be a heck of a combination and so far it has been.

The Nationals have scored 7 runs in each of their first two games in the series. The problem for them is that they are 1-1 in those games. I mentioned Washington has scored 559 runs this season, well they have also given up 541. Their pitching has been terrible all year, specifically their bullpen.

Part of the reason there offense has been so good is because they have to be. Led by James Wood and CJ Abrams the Nats will look to win the series and remain in the playoff hunt. Currently, Washington is 1.5 games out of the final playoff spot in the National League.

Can Abrams have another big game vs the Rockies?

As I mentioned earlier in the article I was on the Rockies yesterday. The Nats were only a -115 favorite last night in Colorado and that line absolutely stunk. They ended up losing 8-7. Last week, the Athletics had lost 10 straight games in a row and they were a slight favorite against the Nats and the A's won 15-1. The sportsbooks have usually been dead on when it's time to bet against the Nats, but today's line I think is telling you the Nats bounce back.

Cade Cavalli is on the mound for the Nats tonight and outside of Foster Griffin he has easily been their best starter. In his last 11 starts he has given up exactly 2 ER in seven of them. You kind of know what you're going to get out of Cade every start. He isn't going to give you a 7 inning shutout game, but he also won't give up 6 runs. He's pretty much good for going 5 innings and giving up 2 runs. If he just continues to pitch how he has been pitching with the Nationals offense in Coors Field that should be plenty to get the job done.

I also like CJ Abrams to record an RBI (-110) as well. He has driven in a run in his last 3 games. As a matter of fact he has driven in multiple runs in his last three games and has also hit a home run in all three of those games. Abrams has been on fire and I seen no sign of him slowing down. He's seeing the ball at the plate extremely well right now and a day game in Denver today the ball should be flying. I think the price for CJ to drive in a run is to good to pass up.

I look for the Nats to bounce back today and for their shortstop to be a big part of it.
