Phoenix Suns vs Denver Nuggets Picks

<p>The Suns vs Nuggets series was expected to be highly competitive, a fairly even matchup that could go six or seven games. However, it has not played out that way at all.</p>
<p>When a team gets down 3-0 in a playoff series, it is essentially over. The only question is how quickly are they going to be put out of their misery and if we can make some money in the meantime. Phoenix has looked so strong throughout these playoffs, and Denver looks flummoxed. Even one of the greatest statistical games in playoff history from the league MVP couldn’t turn things around for Denver at home. Do they even have anything left in the tank? Will it matter? </p>
<h2 id="15f1i">Phoenix Suns (3-0) vs Denver Nuggets (0-3), TNT, 8:00 PM ET</h2>
<h3 id="alql5">Phoenix Feeling No Heat in This Series </h3>
<p>Game 3 was more of what we have seen throughout the series from Phoenix. Their balance has been impressive. This team has really good talent, and they are melding it together so well too. Coach Monty Williams is probably not getting enough credit. </p>
<p>Once again all the starters scored in double figures in the last game. Devin Booker led with 28 points, and Chris Paul was right behind him with 27. His efficiency continues to be a marvel in these playoffs. </p>
<p>Center Deandre Ayton did not have a big scoring game with just 10 points, but he tacked on 15 rebounds and was able to stay on the floor against Nikola Jokic. The Joker might have had a big stat line, but he was not very efficient so Ayton is doing his job.</p>
<p>When you are up 3-0, you are obviously doing something right. With the way they are playing, they have now become favorites on the road in this potential elimination game. </p>
<p>Phoenix is 7-2 ATS in the playoffs. </p>
<h3 id="192uh">Denver Has a Tough Mountain to Climb</h3>
<p>32 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists&#8230;that was Nikola Jokic’s stat line in the Game 3 loss. Per the above, it was not the most efficient game, but he is doing everything he can. I am not sure how much more we can ask him for, and that is the challenge. </p>
<p>Guard Monte Morris shook off his bad shooting in Phoenix. He was the Nuggets&#x27; second-leading scorer coming off the bench with 21 points, making 8 of 12. That is definitely a positive and might have put them over the top had the starters, other than Jokic, been anywhere close to form. </p>
<p>The trio of Aaron Gordon, Facundo Campazzo, and Austin Rivers scored just 15 points combined. That was the same total that forward Michael Porter Jr. scored as he had another below-average night. You can handle a bad shooting game from one or two players in the playoffs, but when more than half of your rotation is off that is just too much to cover for. </p>
<p>Denver has now had three bad shooting games in a row, and the defense did not improve at home. Phoenix was showing no signs of being winded due to the altitude either. Other than playing better, it is too hard to see what Denver can do to turn things around. Will Barton is back and his second game was better than his first, but I don’t see him doing it all on his own. Maybe they put him in the starting lineup, but that hurts them defensively. Start Morris? You have to try something.</p>
<p>It’s now or never. </p>
