Analysis & Breakdown

Back to Back?
The Thunder are missing bodies, going up the 2nd best team in the NBA and have shown no signs of weakness. The Spurs had the best defense in the postseason entering the Conference Finals and Oklahoma City has proceeded to average 120.0 points per game over the first three games of this series.
The Thunder are shooting just 45.3% from the field in the Conference Finals and just 49% from 2-point territory. Oklahoma City's been phenomenal from the perimeter, shooting 40% through the first three games, while the Spurs are shooting just 34% from outside.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's averaging 26.7 points per game in this series but more importantly 11.0 assists per game. He's done a great job of involving his teammates, fighting through double teams and continually makes the right play.
Shai's shooting below 40% from the field in this series and just 29% from the perimeter. Even with the poor shooting percentages, Shai's impact can't be understated. He's taking care of the ball, averaging 2.0 steals per game and even 1.3 blocks. He's got 33 total assists through three games and just 7 total turnovers.
The Thunder will be without Ajay Mitchell tonight and most likely Jaylen Williams once again. Even with multiple guys missing, the Thunder continue to find a way. Whether it's Alex Caruso, Cason Wallace or even Jared McCain. Someone always steps up.
Adjust or Die
The Spurs have done everything they can to contain the MVP. They've got him shooting under 40% from the field, his 3-point shot is missing and they continue to make him earn every single point. Despite that, the Spurs are down 2 games to 1.
San Antonio's selling out against Shai, but it's the rest of this team that's made them pay. The Thunder have taken 119 three point attempts in this series so far, 77 of which have been WIDE open, meaning no defender within 6+ feet. Oklahoma City is shooting 49% on these wide open shots.
Of the 119 attempts, 77 were wide open, 37 were open (4-6 ft) and only 5 were tightly contested. That absolutely egregious and it's why you see players like Alex Caruso shooting 61% from the perimeter through three games.
The Spurs have decided to sell out against Shai and deal with the consequences. Now here they are, down 2-1 and dealing with the consequences. It's going to be interesting to see if the Spurs adjust tonight and if they do, how much?
Sunday's Best Bets

Victor Wembanyama o39.5 P/R (-109) | Lucky Rebel
We're getting chalky today and we're betting on two superstars to be superstars. Wembanyama's been amazing in his first career postseason and for the first time during this run, he's facing real adversity. The Spurs were down 1-0 to the Timberwolves in Round 1, but tonight they face a potential 3-1 deficit.
Wembanyama picked up 3 fouls in the first half of Game 3 and it really lead to a drop in his aggression. This year's DPOY scored 26 points, grabbed just 4 rebounds and played 39 minutes in a 15-point loss.
Sixteen of Wemby's 26 points came in the second half and you could see how much his rhythm was effected in the first half. He picked up no fouls in the second half but it the Spurs offense faded as the game went on.
This is the biggest game of Wemby's career, I'm expecting his performance to match.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander o37.5 P/A (-110) | Lucky Rebel
Like I said, we're getting chalky. Despite the poor shooting numbers, we're rolling with the MVP because I think we're about to see some big adjustments coming from Head Coach Mitch Johnson.
Allowing the Thunder to take wide open threes isn't going to work and continuing to double Shai just can't be the answer. Tonight I think we see Shai see more one on one matchups, more isolations and we see him score the ball more.
