We are nearing the halfway point of the NFL season, and we can already see the postseason picture and awards picture taking shape.
What do we have to look forward to in Week 8? The standout game on the schedule is the game that kicks off the week's action, as the 6-1 Packers head to the desert to try to upend the undefeated Cardinals. The Cardinals keep trucking along and brushing opponents aside with apparent ease each week, but this week should be more of a challenge, even if star receiver Davante Adams (COVID) is unable to suit up for the Packers.
Packers' WR Davante Adams is unlikely to play Thursday night considering he still would need two negative COVID tests 24 hours apart. Packers' WR Allen Lazard is out because he's unvaccinated and couldn't be cleared in time for Thursday night in time.
Elsewhere, there a couple of important rivalry matchups in the AFC South and NFC South. Carson Wentz and the Colts are heating up, but if they can't handle the Titans at home, Tennessee will be three games up and with a season sweep already secured. The NFC South race could similarly be all but done and dusted if Tom Brady and the Bucs silence the Saints in the Superdome.

This week, the Baltimore Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders are off, which might serve the Ravens better after their home loss to the Bengals than it does the 5-2 Raiders, who are 2-0 since Jon Gruden resigned as head coach.
