We go back to Colorado for Game 4 of the Dallas Stars vs the Colorado Avalanche. The Stars lead the series 2-1 after taking Game 3 by a final of 2-1 in overtime. It was the 2nd game in a row that they won in overtime. Let's recap and then get into the Stars vs Avalanche picks.

Dallas went behind 1-0 in Game 2 early after a goal by Valeri Nichushkin of the Avalanche. The game went scoreless until the Stars tied it up midway through the 3rd period. From there, Tyler Seguin sealed the deal in overtime for the win after killing off a double minor.

Offensively, the Stars are getting the job done. There were nowhere to be found in Game 1 but have since got it together. The thing that is really keeping them around is their defense. It's impressive to hold a team like Colorado to a 1 goal game in the playoffs.

Goalie Jake Oettinger got the win in Game 3. He allowed the 1 goal on 28 shot attempts. Oetty will look to win his 3rd game in a row and Dallas take a commanding 3-1 lead traveling back home for Game 5.

Colorado really needs to get their stuff together after the last 2 games. Their offense and defense were worlds apart from the last 2 games. They scored 5 goals and only allowed 1.

This game is massive for the Avalanche. They can't go back to Dallas down 3-1 in the series and losing the 3rd straight game. Having to dig out of holes in the Stanley Cup playoffs can be extremely difficult and can be a death sentence.

Last game, the biggest blemish for the Avs was going 0-6 on the power play. This team was 8th best in the league on the power play this season and last game completely disappeared.

Luckily it was a low scoring game last game. Mackenzie Blackwood has held it down for the Avs this series and is expected to start Game 4. Let's check out the odds and get into the picks.

I think these 2 teams have now got used to each other in a way. Last games score being so low showed me adjustments had been made. For Game 4, I think we're going to see that again plus we have 2 good goalies, so we're taking the under here.

This is a must win game for the Avalanche so it will be interesting to see how they attack it. If they can get out to an early lead, I could see them trying to slow the game down and get possession to kill the clock. I do lean the Avs to win this game just based on how important it is.

I like for Mikko Rantanen to keep shooting. He had 5 last game and he's going to keep firing in his old barn. His 3 or more shots on goal is +115 which is insane value. His 4 or more is +270 and his 5 or more is +550. Great ladder play right here.
